What kind of bag do you guys have? I just bought a complete new set of clubs and am looking for a new bag too. Me personally, I like cart bags. I've never been into the stand bags. I mostly ride, but if I walk I have a pull cart that I put my bag on.

I have a Maxfli stand bag. My next bag should have room for categories of clubs (driver gets its own spot, woods another, hybrids another, then maybe 2-3 categories of irons, a wedge spot, and a putter spot) and a compartment that keeps my cold water cold.

And a Cobra label on it :)

The only cons of this bag and the sheer size and weight. If you have much of anything in the side pockets, it can take up more than its share of space on a power cart... It would be hard to put two of these suckers side by side I think. It barely fits in my trunk. It also is pretty darn heavy and a bit akward when you have to carry it (such as going to the range, especially when the main level is full and you have to take it upstairs!). It does have an extra wide padded shoulder strap, but the balance isn't quite right on it, and it tends to want to slip off your shoulder while walking.

I also have the 07 C-130 by Sun Mountain and agree with many of your comments. It is a big sucker, but I won't ever worry about having room for outerwear, an extra club, or any pets I might wish to take out on the course. I have also had some trouble getting it into my trunk, but the fix for that is easy: buy a new car! It's all about finding ways to spend more $$! I do not think that it weighs too much, but I will not be carrying this thing on my shoulder for even 9 holes, let alone 18. Sun Mountain says that this bag is not recommended for push/pull carts, but I slapped it on my cheap/simple pull cart and it worked great.

Happy hitting!

I've also got a Sun Mountain C130, and I love it. Easily the best bag I've ever owned.

I have the Ping Discovery cart bag and also the Titleist X76 stand bag. The Disovery is very nice as a cart bag, and the external putter well is very handy. The Titleist stand bag is incredibly light and great for when i want to walk.

    • Ok, I'm trying to find a feel to hit a consistent ball flight (irons).  My current predicament.  1. I try to do the arms down stuff better, with the club feeling like it is way behind me more. It's just a cluster of results. Most of the time, I can't get any speed on the swing. If I get my arms down faster, I just throw them out.  2. I focus all my attention on turning better. Pushing off with my left leg and getting my right side through better. On the DTL view, this doesn't produce anywhere close where the hands and club should be. The result is usually ball first contact, lower ball flight, more centered contact.  At this point, I am going with option 2. Stop thinking about what the hands do. Just make a shorter backswing, keep it wide, turn through. Somehow, the club head finds the ball. My focus is so much on just making sure I turn, it's like, "Oh, that contact was better.... Oh, that bell flight looks playable." If not, I will just be practicing my entire summer.
    • Nope, they spent too much money. They are in over 28 million on the football roster and related NIL compensation at this point. Boosters associated with any Texas college football team has HUGE sway. The AD is between a rock and a hard place. They put a lot of money into Sorsby, at the chance of winning a NC this year. If you move on, you basically wasted a lot.  This is why Ohio State wants 3 QB's they feel can start. That is why the backups the past 5 years at some point transfer. Texas Tech has no backup near the quality of Sorsby. If they move on, they are screwed for 2026.
    • Maybe there's something I still don't understand about the situation. Wouldn't Texas Tech do itself a favor to move on from Sorsby at this point?
    • Day 281 6-10 Full swing, fast, getting low point ahead of "towel".  Working on flow during this seems to help.
