Mizuno mp32s, need a new set help.

Hey, I went from titleist ap1s to the mizuno mp32s. I did shoot my Best round of my life earlier this year 90 with the mizunos. I feel like I need a slightly more forgiving iron, I'm struggling with my swing right now and I think a non blade set would Help me improve more. I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas of clubs that would allow more Forgiveness but won't take me to far away from Blade looks. I was thinking about the jpx 800's but I'm not sure. I'm not a fan of the burners I don't like the bump out at the start of the Club. Id like to spend 300 to 350 on a used set. Thanks for your time!

Might look around for a set of MacGregor VIP V-Foil 1025cm (or maybe just all 1025m). No idea about your fitting requirements but they bend easy.

I've never been fit for clubs, I'm sure it's a great help but I've always said don't disguise your swing tailor it till its correct. Are ap2s more forgiving? Im open to almost all options and realize I will need to hit these clubs at a simulator before purchasing. I'm really just looking for some suggestions, I would say I shoot around 98 with better rounds possible.

I may have misunderstood your question. If by "won't take me to far away from Blade looks" you mean at address then I probably can't help you as there must be hundreds or multiple hundreds that fit that bill.

I have 1025m and they are true GI and play like GI irons, actually more forgiving than the other GI I've tried (AP2 and CG2 for instance).

My opinion, since you already have the MP-32 maybe you should consider just keeping them if you can stand to work on your swing for a while. I didn't find the 6-PW really that hard to hit with just basically functional mechanics (even fair mechanics are good enough) and they won't really hurt or help most higher handicap players too much at that point, unless the overwhelming predominant miss is toe and/or heel. If that is the case and lessons and practice aren't helping, then UGI makes more sense than GI ... IMO.

If you work on keys 1, 2, and 3 of the 5SK found on the forum here, the MP-32 might even help you progress faster with keys 2 and 3 if you can practice off grass sometimes, might not will. When you get even modestly proficient with keys 1, 2 and 3, you can play any club you want and that is when switching to GI irons makes the most sense ... IMO.

How about AP2's. or even any forged cavity back players irons like Titleist CB's or Mizuno MP-64's?

mp52s, mp58s are both players cavity back irons, they look great at address, smaller than AP2s.

i play MP-59 and love them, they are easier to hit then most players irons. feel is outstanding and look great.

Thanks for all the replies! I need to work on more consistent swing. I like the 32s but when I'm not playing well it doesn't seem to hide anything. I've never really looked in to players cavity backs but I definitely will. Are the titleist CBs similar to the jpx800 pros? I'm going to try to upload a swing video on this link shortly.

AP2s would be more forgiving. From most forgiving to least, the Titleist line would go like this:

AP1 > AP2 > CB > MB

AP2s would be more forgiving. I'm not sure you could find any of the aforementioned iron sets in your price target, though. You may be able to find a set of MP-57s within that range by now, those will be more forgiving than the 32s, but are still not close to over sized. It's what I have been swinging for about two years now..

Got out and hit some irons today.. Into a net with a monitor. I swung the titleist cb 710s, ap2s think 710 or 12, mizuno jpx 825, and a ping i20. All stiff flex. Immediately ruled out The Cbs because I've heard there harder to hit than the ap2s and I want tad more forgiving iron.. I don't necessarily need a super forgiving iron I'm a decent ball striker. I didn't get to swing to much with the ap2s so I'm undecided about those. Then jpx was a fine club. And surprisingly so was the ping i20. I hit the ping marvelously but in my mind thought I don't need this much forgiveness.. I'm Not a rookie or a bad ball striker. I wish I could have had the time an energy left to Have the guy pull out the jpx pros. Still very undecided.. I'm Not a ping iron guys.. I do like my k15 driver but never though about ping irons. Lots of unanswered questions from today's swing session.

ap2 is more forgiving.

I have the mp59 from mizuno. These just fot for me, players look ( like the MP32 ) but slightly more forgiving.

You should check them out, not sure if there in your budget line tho.
