I would have liked to see Bubba redeem himself from last week's meltdown, but he's not in the field, don't blame him, the guy probably needs a week off. I'm pulling for Spieth, though. Would be cool to see the young guy get his first win. Considering I'm 21 and he's only 19 it probably won't make me feel that great about my golf game if he wins.

Wow. Not one, not two, but three tours today were canceled due to weather. Whats up with the East Coast? Can you send some rain our way? We haven't had a nice long rain storm in months.

It's been a terrible year for golf when it comes to weather. I can't stand playing in windy and rainy conditions, can't imagine having to compete like these guys in those conditions.

As someone who works at a golf course, I can tell you that this is 100% true. So many times we've had to blow the horn for golfers to come in and/or shut down for the rest of the day because of bad weather.

I'd gladly give you some of our rain here in the upper Midwest. We had a storm Tuesday night/Wednesday morning turn a normally pretty dry gully area behind my house into a river 40' wide and at least 4' deep. It completely washed out my compost heap down to bare ground and took out a tree I planted last month. We had handily broken all records for June precipitation by mid-week and it rained again last night and today, canceling my kid's golf lesson this morning.

In my bag: - Ping G20 driver, 10.5 deg. S flex - Ping G20 3W, 15 deg., S flex - Nickent 4dx 3H, 4H - Nike Slingshot 4-PW - Adams Tom Watson 52 deg. GW - Vokey 58 deg. SW -Ping Half Wack-E putter

I got caught in a terrible rain storm last week in Florida. Was on the 15th when it started so we couldn't have been much further from the clubhouse when it started.

Onto the tour, looks like Speith needs something good to happen, he's losing a few shots here on the last couple of holes.

Cauley has also had a rough day after being in the top 10 after 36 holes. He's currently at 2+ after having a day of playing 4+.

Eh he's only 3 shots back with one day left to play, tomorrow will be interesting for sure with the 3 way tie for first.

Yeah when I posted that, the leaders hadn't yet gotten their double and triple bogeys.

That was some of the strangest decision I've seen in a golf tournament all year. Players seemed to be shanking regularly, and missing greens. I'm surprised how bad of a day Horschal had. He's been so consistant this year I thought he was going to do better.

Lee's comment, “I’m sorry for that,” Lee said. “No, it was just for me. My ball. It was frustration. It wasn’t aimed at anyone.”

Good to see Bill Haas win again. Always enjoy watching him play well.

Plus it helps that he was in my fantasy line-up.

    • Is it? I bought the Stack radar to replace my PRGR based on what Stack told me! When I am swinging for speed, the PRGR would miss 50%-80% of my backswings due to a higher speed. The stack seldom misses those- at least for me.
    • As an analyst by nature, I would like to compare the scores under both systems. It is something we can easily do if we have the data. I actually thought the new system was less fair to those whose game was on the decline - like mine! Old: Best 10 of last 20 scores with the .96 multiplier. Course handicap excluded course rating and overall par. New: Best 8/20. Course handicap includes course rating -par. My understanding is Stableford caps scores at Net double bogey like stroke play. If so, handicap should be slower to rise because you are only using 8 versus 10 scores. If I am missing something, I am curious enough to  want to understand what that may be. My home course tees that I play are 72.1/154 now. My best score out here is 82. When my game started to decline, my handicap didn’t budge for 13 rounds because of good scores in my first 8! I know I am an anomaly but my handicap has increased almost 80% in the past few years (with only a few rounds this year). For a few months I knew I was losing every bet because my game was nowhere near my handicap. I suspect I have steamrolled a few nuances but that shouldn’t matter much. When I have modeled this with someone playing the same tees and course, one good round, or return to form, will immediately reduce the handicap by some amount.
