So I went to progolf a few months ago and demod the nike covert tour driver. I loved it and the brand, felt super soft and forgiving. I ended up buying one on eBay and hate it. Loud, super unforgiving, and dosnt go anywhere. I brought it in to see if it was counterfeit and they said it was legit. I hit my buddies rbz 2 and hit it straight and solid every time so I know it's not my swing. I'm selling my driver and want to know what new one to get. I launch the ball high(currently play x stiff for low spin but I am going to change back to stiff). I don't know if im considered super consistant( hit a spot a little bigger than a quarter 50% of the time) so don't know if I need a forgiving one. I preferably would like one from 2012 as dont want to spend too much(in the buy sell business) so wondering what y'all reccomend and what you think of my covert situation. I also would like to stick with nike if possible, what have your experiences with the covert been? should i buy a real one or do you think mine is real? Thanks

Did you buy the tour Covert? Same shaft flex? Also was the one you hit at the store tuned to you? It could be that the driver you bought is not set to your specs. Maybe fool around with the settings a bit.

Yes it's the tour. I think the same shaft but is stiffer. And I have the loft and all that tuned. I used to play fake irons and this club seems the same. If you hit it perfect you can get away with it, if not it feels like you completely mis hit it

I have the covert tour 3 wood... I don't think yours is fake, the face is very soft and not forgiving...its the tour version club. when I went in store and hit 3 woods it was shorter than most but I just liked how it felt and came off the face. Driver wise I would definitely reccomend callaway. By far best drivers

FT Optiforce 440 Diamana S+, Nike covert tour Kuro Kage, Mizuno MP54 4-PW, Vokey SM5 52 56 60, Odyssey White Ice #2

the face was only soft when I demoed it. And I'm gonna go try out some rbz, xhot, and razr fit extreme

I think its just something that happens with a new club.  You need to go and demo any club more than once.  You might hit it totally different the next time.  I go on 3 different occasions.  How long did you have the club?  How many rounds?

I just purchased the Covert myself.  First demo I hit it lights out.  Second demo was inconsistent at best.  The third time I demoed it, I figured out how to hit it more consistently, and I bought it.

I demoed the Covert alongside a few other drivers.  It was between the Covert and the RBZ 1.  The RBZ was a bit longer but more difficult to "nut".  I attributed it to the longer shaft (harder to find the sweet spot?).  At any rate, I wanted something a bit more traditional, and the Covert also seemed lighter that the RBZ.

First time out with the new driver was this past Sunday, and well, of course I couldn't hit it consistently at all.  However, I'm not going to give up on it - I'm sure I can figure it out.  It's just the name of the game.  A few years ago I purchased new fairway woods and it was the same deal, but I spent some time at the range and now they are one of my best clubs.  Maybe my first outing with the new driver was nerves? I always get nervous when debuting a new club on the course.  It's like driving a new car off the lot - once you cross that line, there is no return.

My point is - make sure you give the driver a fair chance.

    • I have nothing to add other than I freaking love her swing and I think she's hot as hell and some of my golfing buddies disagree so I fought them
    • I’m not sure I agree. It’s just what the majority find more entertaining. Most people prefer women’s gymnastics over men in the Olympics. How much hype is there with the men’s compared to the women’s? I bet you can rattle off several big names in women’s gymnastics and only a handful of men. Women’s tennis …same thing. And sure enough, their purses are the same. However, WNBA, awful…LPGA, not near as much interest than PGA. Don’t think it’s really that complicated IMO.

    • If you walk up to a food/drink kiosk at Magic Kingdom and ask the person for a cup of "magic water" they will give you a small cup of Sprite for free. About 3 fingers worth. They don't sell alcohol at MK anymore so I go over to one of the courses while she hangs out there.
