AND IT'S GONNA SEND US BACK INTO THE STONE AGE !!!

Interesting twist on the original story. Looks like there are multiple monsters (quick shot of some flying thing) and radioactivity didn't create them, but nukes were used to try and destroy them. What the hell is Juliet Binoche doing in this movie? I like it.

I really liked the director's first movie, Monsters, tap-in birdie:

Looking forward to this one

I'm not. I hate movies like that. Just tell me a story - don't do all that stupid visual shit.

I'm sure the comic book nerds (hi @mvmac ) like them, though. :D

I don't typically fall into this category - no desire to see that movie, not a fan of x-men, still haven't seen the latest Batman movie or Spider Man movie, however ...

Am a big fan of the Avengers, sooooooo this is my most anticipated of the year:

The Nolan Batman movies are the only comic book movies I've ever seen, and even that was because of peer pressure. Not a huge superhero fan. It is, however, very fun to talk like Christian Bale's Batman. SWEAR TO ME!!!

Hi! :-)

Yeah movies like Sin City and 300 (also a comic) are very stylized and can turn some people off. I think the story is good ;-) It's almost like western meets detective noir.

Am a big fan of the Avengers, sooooooo this is my most anticipated of the year:

I'm hearing good things about it, I'm definitely expecting it to be better than the first one. Origin movies, for the most part, kind of suck.

Funny, cuz we (wife, myself, son) loved the first one!  I was never a comic book guy.  (Baseball cards were my vice as a kid)  But when my wife and I went to see out first "adult" movie after babies, we saw the Avengers, and just loved it.  So then we went back and watched Thor and Captain America and loved both of those.  I'd already seen and loved the first 2 Ironmans too, so I just kind of realized that the Avengers were the comic book group that I liked.  By the way, I should be watching Thor 2 right now, but stupid Target was sold out of the blu-ray. And, of course, now I'm pumped for the next Captain America movie, the next Avengers movie, the possible Nick Fury movie, Ironman 4, etc, etc. :)

I even went so far as to read (thanks to my co-workers who were comic book kids) the Thanos comic books. :)

I love different visual styles. I am a huge fan of the first Sin City. Though surprisingly I though that style worked much better with Sin City than it did for 300. That and Elijah Wood is creepy has hell.

Sadly I am looking forward to "How to Train your Dragon 2". The first one got too me. One of my more favorite animated movies.

How about Edge of Tomorrow ? It looks like it's Independence Day meets Groundhog Day . I'm also looking forward to the Frank Miller movies and am oddly curious about the new Ninja Turtles movie. I've been told I should see the most recent Planet of the Apes movie in anticipation of the new one this summer.

Love sci fi. Interstellar and Transcendence look interesting. I watch some comic book based movies, but, boy, I'm really tired of them, for the past 10 years now. Enough comic book movies and this is coming from a guy who read and collected them as a kid, somewhere in my parents' house is a big box of them I haven't looked at in decades.

Plus Aronofsky's Noah:

    • Number 10. Boise, Idaho Saturday 06/24/2017. I played Quail Hollow golf Club, white tees 5727 yards. This is visually the best course I've played to date. It's built into the hills which allows for many elevated holes. The views at the top are fantastic and challenging. Yes, its short in yardage but difficult to play. There are many blind shots over hills and around corners, plus sagebrush, trees, thick rough and water. The greens vary in size from very large, to small and narrow, but they were fast and difficult to putt. I should have brought two putters, a lighter putter for the fast greens and a heavy putter for the slow greens. I only have my heavy putter. I played with three guys, the Boise guys, who were part a larger money group. I was asked which course was my favorite, and prior to playing this course, I didn't have one. Whenever I think about the places that I've gone, it's the people that I remember. We can all relate to the challenges of golf and tend to be our true selfs on the golf course. Today was no different, a lot of laughs, frustration and camaraderie. I think one of the best moments we had was when one of the Boise guys drove the green on a par 4 and 4-putted from about 12 feet. He hit a great drive over trees that blocked the green from our view. We were all happy to see his ball on the green for an eagle putt. We had all struggled with the putts, but we thought he would at least get a birdie, which would help their team score. I know he was disappointed when he 4-putted and we understand, but it was also so funny I asked him if he could replay the hole and do the same thing so that I could record it. We all had a big laugh, and that's the bond that we golfers have. I shot 49 on the front and 45 on the back, with an 8 on a par 3 and par 4, total 94.
    • I haven't heard a pro credit PB for a win. But this guy credits the PB Pro with the win, implying and sometimes stating that PB helped him.
    • This local rule is used primarily in the UK on links courses where putting from long distances off the green is the norm. IMO it should only be used if chipping over is not a reasonable proposition.
    • (https://thesandtrap.com/forums/topic/94053-win-a-new-cart-from-sun-mountain) https://shop.sunmountain.com/Speed-Cart-GT-20119-detail.html I'd love to win the Speed Cart GT in Navy White Red. I like the patriotic colors.  This cart not only looks great, but it would make life so much easier.  Believe it or not, my current golf cart is actually a "pull cart".  Yes, the old fashioned kind that you just don't see anymore, but I still use it. Thus, I'd love to win a new Speed Cart GT in Navy White Red from @SunMountainGolf and @the_sand_trap.   I thank you, my sore shoulder thanks you, and my aching back thanks you :)
    • So the kid did something stupid - he shouldn't get killed for it. I really hope to see the end of that bizarre cult regime some day.
