Lefty being carted off the course w/ an "oblique muscle injury"......you folks who only watch the PGA tour when Lefty or TW are entered better 1) find some other golfers to root for or 2) find something else to do on your weekends other than watch PGA golf on the HDTV.    TW and Lefty aren't getting any younger and are breaking down, unfortunately.

Do you ever get tired of being such a one trick pony? Seriously dude, work on some new material.

Yours in earnest, Jason.

Was Bowditch allowed to move that rock to improve his stance when he was in the rough?  I thought that was against the rules of golf.

It's a loose impediment. On another note, I don't like those Valero commercial with the car going out of control, the accelerator depressing by itself, reminds me of those accidents that were happening where the driver couldn't stop the cat from accelerating.

The rock was not "solidly imbedded" in the ground, so despite its size, it qualifies as a loose impediment and can be moved. Similar to the situation Tiger had in Phoenix back in '99. That boulder "loose impediment" was so large that he needed help from several spectators to move it.

Johnny Miller on Andrew Loupe's slow play: "If every tour player played like this I'd quit announcing".

I couldn't watch that all day either! Heaven help us if he and NA ever get paired together.

Check around - I have a ton of posts elsewhere. Does this forum have an ignore - use it (dude).

I would, but then I wouldn't be able to participate in the Rick Martin drinking game. Every time Rick Martin whines about TW you drink a beer.

[/quote] One trick pony is about right.-But plz tell us again how we arent true golf fans because we only tune in when history is being made and spend the rest of the time with our wives or families or friends when Pat Perez is playing well in some podunk TX tourney-OKAY?

NBC needs to just not go to him until he's done with his fifth practice swing - there are other guys on the course. He could be fast in other parts of the game, just not in his preshot routine.

    • I kind of like this interpretation especially if you think about it the unplayable rule would probably put you in a better spot.  using back on the line releief.
    • I did not realize that, I was thinking a more traditional golf club.
    • Thanks for the feedback. @StuM, we are a "club without real estate" so no facilities or pro. We have a membership of around 185 players and we only play together as a group at our tournaments, which are held at public access courses. A group of us setup the tournaments, collect the money and dole out the prizes.
    • In general, granting free relief anywhere on the course isn't recommended.  Similarly, when marking GUR, the VSGA and MAPGA generally don't mark areas that are well away from the intended playing lines, no matter how poor the conditions.  If you hit it far enough offline, you don't necessarily deserve free relief.  And you don't have to damage clubs, take unplayable relief, take the stroke, and drop the ball in a better spot.
    • If it's not broken don't fix it. If you want to add grooves to it just because of looks that's your choice of course. Grooves are cut into putter faces to reduce skid, the roll faced putter is designed to do the same thing. I'm no expert but it seems counter productive to add grooves to the roll face. Maybe you can have it sand-blasted or something to clean up the face. Take a look at Tigers putter, its beat to hell but he still uses it.
