Mark Crossfield has the black one. I just can't get use to the black color at address. My Son has the black wedge in 52*.

K grind is a good one.

The updated tour satin chrome is really nice, more "player" looking than previous satin finishes. Same finish tour guys have had for years.

I compared the SM5 58.11 K grind to the SM4 58.12 M grind.  Even though the bounce is close numerically, the SM4 seems much more pronounced.  It is a shorter flange before tapering, where as the SM5 is a wider flange with a gentle camber.  What are the performance differences between the two?

The wider sole makes it play like there is more bounce, the club will "glide" better.

Had the new SM5 since release date (60 K Grind) it replaced my Scor 60. I love it. Its my first Vokey wedge and I have to say ive been missing out.

I am in the market for a new set of wedges. Currently I have a 52, 56, and a 60. All three are different, I need a set that matches. The closest retail store to me is Dick's. Went there today but the guy in the golf department new nothing about the different grinds. I hit a 56 M and S. I think I liked the M grind better but couldn't really tell a difference. So I'm not sure what to buy.

You need to figure out what kind of swing you have and a rough idea of the turf you play on. If you are a digger and play soft turf you want more bounce and wider sole for example.

I play in TN. All Bermuda fairways, some fluffy sand and some hard sand. It's not very soft around here. In the soft sand I use my 56 and open it up. In the firm sand I use my 60. But I'm more concerned with pitch shots with the wedges from fairways. I'm more of a neutral swinger. Most pitch shots I prefer to come in neutral/shallow. Sometimes I'll come in steep for a one bounce and stop shot. I bought a 56.14 and that seemed to be too much bounce for me. The 56 I'm currently playing is 12. Any suggestions or guidance would be highly appreciated. I probably should've started my own thread. Sorry!

If you don't take much of a divot, a lower bounce would work for you. A mid to low bounce would probably work for you.

I wish I could hit the 56.10 out of sand before buying it. The 60 comes in 4, 7, 8, and 11. Grinds are L, S, M, and K. Would it be not wise to get the same grind in both 56 and 60? (M). Or would that be a benefit? I enjoy opening my 60 up for flops, maybe that'll narrow this down.

Depends on your swing, and what type of conditions you play in. I have a 54-12 and 60-04. But with the new irons I'm getting, I'll have to get a 56, and that will be a 56-12.

Doesn't the Dicks sporting goods have a PGA pro on staff...? They advertise that they do.

I just put two new SM-5's in the bag, replacing my older spin-milled 56/14 and 58/08 with a 56/14 F grind and a 60/11 K grind.  Both chrome.  I absolutely LOVE them both, especially the wide K grind.  I also really like that we're starting to see some higher bounces in the lob wedges.   They have a lot of great options with bounce and grind now, so it's worth spending a little time with them to see what works best for you.

Liked mine so much you had to get the same :-P I love them so far but haven't got to use them as much as you probably have. @David in FL what finish did you decide on?
