Remember that we are playing modified stableford and everybody gets 80% of their course handicap. The best 3 scores on each hole count.

In case anybody doesn't remember, the scoring is as follows.

Double Bogey - 0

Bogey - 1

Par - 2

Birdie - 3

Eagle - 5

Albatross - 7

Here is the scorecard for the course if anybody is curious...

Is anybody planning on meeting up anywhere in the area for breakfast?

I would love to. I'll be leaving Lake Forest ... unsure yet when, but I can meet you for breakfast near the course if you'd like. I haven't been there before, but I'm up for just about anything reasonable for breakfast.

Wait, what???  I thought you lived up in LA.  Are you my neighbor now??

The freeway exit off the 5 (that's right @jamo , it's "the" 5 ;)) is Leucadia Blvd.  I can't remember, but I don't think there is anything there except a gas station.  I think your best bet might be to just take Leucadia up past the course about 1/2 mile to El Camino Real.  There are two large shopping centers on the west side of ECR on either side of Leucadia there.  One of them is bound to have a decent breakfast place, I would think.  (Just scanning the overhead of google maps shows, at the very least, a Starbucks, a Coffee Bean, and an Einsteins bagels)

If you guys are looking for sit-down, at the corner of El Camino and La Costa is a place called the Broken Yolk Cafe.   Looks fun ... http://thebrokenyolkcafe.com/index.php?module=cms&action;=menu&name;=menu

I imagine there is a Dennys or IHOP nearby too, but I can't find one.

Pakoh, Jason and I are carpooling from my house, and I don't think we're going to be leaving quite early enough to stop for breakfast, so we'll see you all on the range.

It looks like our drive is just under two hours?

We are planning to stop and eat so if there is a time and place let me know we will be there?

Wait, what???  I thought you lived up in LA.  Are you my neighbor now??

I wish, but no, I'm staying with friends; among other reasons, it cuts down the drive on Saturday morning; as +hacker101 points out, it's two hours from where I live, but just under an hour from my friends' place in Lake Forest. Just hit some balls into my net, took quite a few to make it even feel like I made contact with the ball. 200 balls later and I can somewhat hit my irons. Still need work on the woods :-P Working hard.

My goal tomorrow is to not hit any houses or cars

LOL!!!  Me too!  Looking at Google Maps, I think we're fairly safe.  No houses too terribly close.  Cars, OTOH, may be in trouble.  1 and 18 both appear to border Leucadia, which is a fairly busy road.  Good news is that hooks will be required on those holes to hit cars ... slices will be safe.  (Cept for @Lihu )

    • Attempting to lift. Any better?
    • Day 82: mirror work again tonight. Working on the same shoulder down and roll and twist stuff. Going on vacation tomorrow and putting the clubs down, so new streak starts in about 10 days!
    • Day 44, June 17.  Today was some preliminary stretching, exploring what I'll want to set up as a regular routine (both while on vacation without clubs and when I'm back) (aside: this is part of an upcoming goal to stretch daily in a meaningful way, but I don't plan to count it as practice on days that I can meaningfully practice with a club)
    • Having a rough week. Went to the Dr. because I was really weak and could hardly swing my driver.  I take Propranolol 20 mg tablets twice a day. Seems like the Propranolol was driving my pulse down (low 50's).  So we cut the dosage in half and I started taking my blood pressure. It was a little high but pulse came up.   Then yesterday I raised it to 15 mg tab by taking it 3 times a day. Blood pressure 127 / 77 Pulse 75.  Heading out tomorrow morning for 18 holes.    I have my driver set at 10.5* but seem to have my swing speed to low and I can't get the lift on the ball I need.  I have not played this week in hopes I will have the strength to raise my swing speed. I may have to raise my loft to 12* . (I will take my driver wrench) tomorrow. (This Parkinson's is a pain in the butt.)  Will give you a report when I get back.    Retired Old Man, Terry
    • You still got to lift your arms. You basically just roll your wrist over in the 1st half of the backswing.
