So El Tigre hires you to be his new swing coach, what do you do to fix his swing? What do you address first?

Awesome, just have to find a relatively new DTL and FO in slow motion and I can get started... I'll be looking at key#1 probably first ;)

I would Jedi mind trick him. Waves hand, you will do everything as I say. Or hypnosis. Or drugs. You get the picture. :-)

Kill slow play. Allow walking. Reduce ineffective golf instruction. Use environmentally friendly course maintenance.

Do what I can with a swing to keep him healthy at all costs. His natural, entrenched ability will maximize his chances for success, even if it means a couple of wins a year and runs at majors rather than 6+ wins and multiple majors. Just get the guy out there for 5 years injury-free, if that's even possible any longer.

It might be personal preference, but I am not a big fan of when he gets a lot of "Squat" in his downswing. To me it is such a timing move that it isn't worth the effort for any sort of power he might get out of it. I think he could make up that power by swinging the arms faster.

Get him some female, ahem, companionship...... ? ;-)

Whatever it takes, I hope it happens soon.  You know that I don't particularly like him, but the PGA Tour is a lot more interesting/entertaining when he's out there mixing it up, than it is when he's not!

I would  let Woody teach me on how  to teach him..........

I actually think he should be his own swing coach, assuming he can get  back to physically being able to play golf at a winning, professional level.

I read some where that Butch Harmon was a 20/1 shot to become his next coach. Elin Nordegren had a 600/1 shot.

I think that's the last thing he needs help with...

I would tell him to stop thinking about the swing.  That's it.  The best golfer ever needs to only worry about the target.

Hmm, in all seriousness, if I am hired as a his 'coach' (or at this stage, ANYBODY) he is probably not looking for new information, knowledge method etc. Maybe a set of keen eyes? My assumption is his misses are not a pattern but more of a drift from it. I think he probably already knows when he is drifting and how so. I guess, he would be the one educating; I would be the one watching it and pointing out when he does that 'thing' (insert whatever) again. A camera could do the same really. So, uh, well, I think I just confused the s*** out of myself. Honestly now I am really curious to why he needs a 'coach'.

Which 5S key does he violate the most?

Maybe key 5 some of the time.  But the best golfer of this generation has at least 4.9 of them covered. :-)

BTW, I hate it's 'mental' thing. Even if it was in his head, it manifest physically, somehow, somewhere. What is it?

I am not the expert, but I believe Key 5, club face control, is the hardest key to achieve.

It's easy to see what I'm doing wrong in my own videos. I'll be damned if I know the best way to fix it though. That's hard, figuring out the fix. Just because you can see the move that's causing the problems doesn't automatically mean you've found the fix. But seriously if I were his instructor even though I have no right to be, I think even most pros would agree with me on this, I'd tell him to get the back healthy. No working out or anything that would affect the back. Just chill out. I'm guessing key #4 is his problem based on reading little bits from instructors.

If Tiger spent the last 3 months chipping/putting, then one has to wonder what influence Sean Foley had on that, to have performed so poorly. Tiger of the past could salvage a bad score and get by, not any more.

"How", is it that a golfer with Woods' past and success, cannot figure out a way to play golf? Was the 2000 season and others just smoke and mirrors? Yes, the results were there, but was Tiger just a shell that Butch Harmon filled? It's interesting that Earl wrote a book about "How to raise a ....", but it appears that without a Coach to light the way, Woods' is searching in the dark.

I contend that when the drivers became in excess of 460cc, and then were subsequently trimmed down, Woods' has never been able to sustain accuracy. It appears that Tiger has fallen into his own "trap" of regaining the distance edge he once had. The mini-tours are filled with Pros that became obsessed with that.

Tiger Woods has entered the time where he putts like a Top 15 player, so he plays like one. His issues with accurately driving the ball are well documented, so no amount "hype" from the GC or any network can prevent him from being on the 4th page of the leaderboard.

Slapping it around Vahalla like he did was embarrassing to watch.

Tiger does'nt need a Coach at this point, he needs to chill out, SMILE and enjoy the walk. He has had a great career and can still attend the WGC events with no cut and hang out with the boys.
