How to Hit a Driver (Hit it Further and Stop Slicing!)

It would be best to start a My Swing thread if you haven’t already. There are lots of drills that can be done with the driver that are similar to iron drills.

"Why can I hit my irons ok but slice my driver off the planet?" OR "Why does my 3 wood go farther than my driver?" These are two common questions we see on The Sand Trap and I wanted to put this

Most likely it's an angle of attack issue, hitting down with the driver. Could be playing the ball too far back with the driver.

I am definately not an expert, basically I am a golf newbie - but last year, I sliced driver a lot.

Now, it looks the problem is fixed - or it's better.

What helped me? 

I watched some of Monte Scheinblum's videos and it looks that approach helped.

I focus on bowing wrists at the top, dropping the club to the slot and then body rotation.

      Day 201 (19 Nov 24) - Walked the back nine at Minnesott today, played the “white” tees with the persimmon woods and bladed irons.  It’s a challenge I really like as the clubs are shorter in overall distances.  It really forces me focus on the value of the approach game.     Somehow yesterday’s post did not load / so it’s above.  Today (Day 202) I did some backyard short yardage work - 7i dink  and rolls, 9i chips and 50deg pitches - working to get it in before the rain started around noon.
