Fred Couples is by far the smoothest. Am also told it is very similar to my swing so that always put it up there too.

Luke Donald, Jeff Maggert and Steve Elkington have the most beautiful swings. Ernie Els looks incredible smooth in person. Adam Scott has a tremendous game and swing. While competitive, he has a very gentle personality and this probably keeps him from winning as much as you would expect. I wish he would grind out his putts more. If he would, I think he would win more in line with his ball-striking dominance. Tiger's swing is very effective, obviously, but not pretty- its too violent and bouncy; head bobs down too much

Will someone with a lot more computer skills than me turn this thread into a poll? I'd be interested in a vote by our esteemed readers (and those that aren't can vote too).

I see now that rrassoc already suggested it. Any takers?

Who can't like Freddy's swing? Impossible. I think every kid growing up watching him tried to emulate his swing. Myself included. Smooth as butter.

That being the case, it's those type swings I like to watch the most. Ernie Els, Reteif Goosen. Vijay is similar, I love watching him hit Driver. I gotta pay attention to Phil more closely in '08. I've never been a big fan, but, I can imagine he's got a silky swing.
Freddy

Whoa! I've never seen those. That's awesome. Thanks for posting.

Ernie Els - primarily for tempo

Yeah, those are pretty solid examples. I'd go Reteif for tempo of players of today.

Ugh, I'm newer to this site than you are... I think setting up a poll requires a new thread ?

My favourite swing would have to be Adam Scott's bacause I like thae fact that is it very short and very on plane but he is still an extrememly long hitter. And I also like his swing the best because he's Australian!!!

Me personally: I like Zach Johnson's swing. I don't know why, but it just seems to work really well and he has great tempo (IMHO).

Tiger's swing is quite fluid along with Freddy's.
