Just wondering if getting 12 newly looking pro v1 refurbished balls for 15 bucks is worth it. Thanks!

No. Do not buy balls that have been repainted. Anything could be underneath the paint. Buy used (original condition) ones for not much more.

I agree with Shorty.  I played some down in FL last year because I ran out.  They were not the same as the ProV1s I normally play.  If you want a less expensive option, try Lost Golf Balls, www.lostgolfballs.com

I have used them before and they are much nicer balls.  The ball will have logos sometimes, but are generally very good.

Another thing you can do, if you have one of those ball spinner gizmos is spin the ball, then and while spinning the ball, touch the ball with  felt pen.  If the ball is in balance you will get one solid line around the ball. If not you will multiple lines on the ball. I do this with all the balls I use for identification purposes.

I stay away from used, and/or refurbished balls for serious play. However, I do use them for practice. Just my opinion that a less expensive, new ball is probably just as good as a used expensive ball that may have hidden problems.  The thought that an easy putt is missed when using a refurbished ball can be a confidence killer. Did I miss the putt because the ball was bad, or did I hit it wrong? You just never know for sure.
