onthehunt,

Keep practicing with the 4i, but normally carry the 4H.

Doing drills with the 4i will help groove your swing. If I remember right, Tom Watson said he practiced a lot with his 3i, even through he rarely carried it.

As for hybrid irons, they are a variation on hybrids. Most often, they directly replace an iron in the set, with almost equivalent loft and shaft length. (They tend to have shorter shafts than traditional hybrids - the ones that fall between numbered irons and fairway woods.)

Focus, connect and follow through!

This is what I did with my last set.  It helped my iron game a TON.

My new irons I didn't buy the 4i, but I'd like to have it just for this purpose.  Once the model gets a bit older, I'm looking for a used one.

It looks like I´m going to get a new set of clubs when I drop 2 points from my handicap... Too many people tell me that It will be better to avoid the 4i (I don´t have one right now), but I rellay like my 5i and use it a lot. Most people prefer to use hybrids, so I wonder wich option is better for me. Is do difficult the 4i? there is so much difference between a 4i and a 5i?

Dealing with this dilemma right now. Considering buying a 4 iron. My miss with my hybrid is a top. My miss with an iron is a fatty or a thin. I consistently hit my 5 iron far better than my 4 hybrid.
