Complaining

Im English so complaining is one of our favourite pastimes, along with Queing and complaining about queing! but yes, i normally find something to complain about on the course, allows me to blow off a bit of steam and its oftem about the most trivial things, e.g "who the hell put that tree right in front of my ball!!"

Complaining is what pubs and tea gardens are for. . .;-) Joking, but true from my experience living there! :-D

In all seriousness, I sort of think that golf is a bit of training tool that slowly (and painfully) pushes me towards emotional maturity. I complain, but less than I did last year and a lot less than two years ago. The game cracks you in the head every time you do it. Even dumb people like me start learning the lesson.

At this rate, I'll be well sorted by the time I'm 60 or so.

Haha, Yep, pubs are a good place, as are supermarkets, buses, hospitals........

I expect bad swings and bad breaks. Goose crap is avoidable though.

I complain to myself about my own play...but I don't really complain about anything else.  Just happy to be out there.

I added this topic because the other day I shared a cart with a guy who started complaining before we even made it to the first tee. I thought it rather amusing. Still do. One of his major complaints was that it was too warm for golf. We were playing in a shade less, wide open course, and the temps were in the low 80s/high 70s. He was entertaining for the most part, and his golf game was, I thought, better than average.
