They'd better fix up the course for tomorrow's round.   Players are killing the course.   I don't want to see the winning score to be -28.

Players always seem to start off well in the first couple rounds at Augusta, and then "miraculously", the score ends up being 11 or 12 under at the most.

Tiger did well regardless of how he finishes up on the 18th.   I am impressed.   If he continues this way, fans may expect more from him for the next major.   Hope he does better tomorrow now the cobweb is cleared.

41st... not bad. 41st place is the 42nd loser.

That's not how numbers work. JD shows how to get away with a chunk-and-run off 18.

Tiger earned every stroke today, didn't catch a break all day. solid round , and he didn't shoot himself out of the tournament.

Yeah... you're right, it shoulv'e read:

41st... not bad.

41st place is the 40th loser.

I got that from a Reebok t-shirt my buddy used to wear a lot on the basketball court:

"Second Place Is the First Loser."

Asking for advice on how to hit a spinning pitch shot in a Masters discussion thread? He's on the internet - do you think the answer might be out there? Why don't you write an essay for him.

I support @shorty on this one. Asking for swing tips in the Masters discussion thread is silly.

Yours in earnest, Jason.

Aren't you so brave, being a jerk on the Internet.

I'm not saying he'll break jacks record, but I think doomsday proclamations made because of 15 holes of one round after a nine week layoff is pretty damn premature.

Back on topic: So glad to see Jason Day play well. Dude is one of my favorite players.

Its one of those things man. I just am cool.

You guys make it seem like Tiger is a guy that comes around once every few years plus a few more... no, he's more than in once in a lifetime.  Where was Rory today?  Where was Fowler?

No one will reach Tiger for another 34.889228 years... and that's a fact!

I didn't really watch golf too much in my younger days, when Tiger was in his hay day, but it feels like he was like what Cristiano Ronaldo and Messi are like in football/soccer now, they are just GOATers who will never be beaten.
