McIlroy is letting the spectators get under his skin. On the other hand it seems to give him that extra something.

He's using it as an inspiration. And why not?

I would love to see a Reed-Rory match tomorrow.

Reed is a good match player and has good mindset, but honestly it would be smarter to send a sacrificial lamb. Rors is en fuego. Weak putting Rory might have been vulnerable, but every part of his game is on today following picking up the level in yesterday's match.

He'd beat anyone unless he wakes up fatigued tomorrow, which doesn't look likely. Unless that missed short putt gets to him. But that's not likely - his big miss with driver didn't affect his long game. His proximity due to his long straight driving is giving him plenty of looks and he's draining enough of them even with a gack here or there.

Rory doesn't play the heel well, looks like he's going to cry.

The rational side of me thinks you're probably right but the emotional/patriotic side just really wants to imagine how awesome and demoralizing it would be for Europe to see Reed rolling in putts on top of Rory.

I don't think there is any question who the better putter is.

I don't think his parading is anti-American per-se, but more of a re-enactment of a distasteful style experienced in his junior days with a rather loud/demonstrative Billy Horschel. He knows he's on form and sort of giving a 'see how it feels'. The sacrificial lamb would make him feel a little less like sticking it to the loudmouths in the crowd, but he'd still probably win.

I think Reed and Spieth's match would be much closer if Rose and Stenson hadn't played so much. I totally owe a nod of respect to the guy who said Reed was too low on my list of Captain's picks. He definitely elevates his game. Problem is that Rory can too and his baseline is much higher to start with on ballstriking and while I think putting is more important than typical in match play ballstriking (esp good driving) still matters more.

Looking like a very smart pick.

Absolutely. Before this season I was hoping for an other Dutch speaking player, but no way he could have done better :-)
