Ssince you were hitting the XR and it seemed to give you the numbers ... what did you think?

I couldn't get mine going. Then after reading the thread, I stuck a Speeder 665 in mine, replacing the 54g Oban,  both at 45 inches, and finally, it started to click. My guy made the Oban a little soft - needs more tipping.  I usually blame myself, and I stuck for 3 weeks with trying to improve my swing (and I have), but this time it was mostly the arrow.

I've also been hitting it higher on the face, and Callaway told me ... uh, no, don't do that ... the sweetspot is not high on the XR ... go lower. So tomorrow, I will tee it lower.

Was wondering why I am not getting the most out of this driver ... have it down to 9.5 .. teeing it lower might mean lofting back up...

I did this last year at the same place and Ross helped me too. He was great. A lot of fun. I ended up w the Apex pros for 7-A and 4-6 regular Apex w projectX 6.0 shafts. Awesome experience given to me by my wife for my birthday.

I've been thinking about this and I'm kind of tempted to do this, even though I'm not in the market for new clubs. I think it will be good just get an idea of what kind of equipment specs I should be playing and just to learn more about equipment in general.

That's why I did it a couple years ago, just to double check my specs. They do a great job.

At what ability level is this sort of thing worth it? The three of you who went are all good players. I had my recent driver fit for me by a Titleist rep, although it wasn't as thorough as this seems to be and was done at a Roger Dunn (on a fitting day). A good Roger Dunn, and I'm happy with the driver, don't get me wrong.

The majority of visitors to the center have a handicap ranging from the mid single-digits well into the 20's.

Think it might have been less expensive for me to fly to SoCal, stay for several days, and get fitted, than buy all 3 Callaway drivers ... albeit one driver and a couple of shafts at preowned.

Food for thought...

Hit the 815 10.5 in Diamana S+ 60 S flex, and loved the sound and flight ... sound is precise, not loud, face is soft.

Of the three, I hit the 815 and the V Series fairly consistently, and the XR was more inconsistent. And that goes with my sessions on an LM ... V, 815, and then XR.

Can't tell you if any one is longer than the other until I get with real golf balls and a real golf course.

Glad I have 2 nephews who are taking up the game... they'll need a driver.
