Like many players, I need to wear eyeglasses to help my vision. I find it better to wear single-focus lenses for my tee and fairway shots, but on the green, my progressive lens glasses help me see and read the putt better. By switching during the round, would I be in violation of the rules?

No rule exactly, but think of this: If it is ok for me to switch eyeglasses to help improve my game, would it also be ok to use some other type of sophisticated high-tech eyewear during the round? You can't put an arm brace or something else on your body to assist you, but you can wear magnifying lenses to help your vision. Maybe this question is still way in the future, but you never know what someone may come up with.

If they come up with something that gives me "Tiger Vision" I'm wearing them.

No.

But what rule were you thinking of?

I'm sure the OP is thinking of artificial devices under 14-3:

14-3/3

Eyeglasses and Binoculars

Standard eyeglasses and binoculars that have no range-finder attachments are not artificial devices within the meaning of the term in Rule 14-3.
