Lightning Meets Green

Lightning struck the green of the 15th hole at The Champions Course at Weeks Park in Wichita Falls, TX, early Tuesday morning. Lightning spreads out along the ground in something called "ground current. http://www.lightningsafety.noaa.gov/science/science_ground_currents.shtml

If you hear thunder, you are within the range of lightning. It's shocking, I know.

When I first saw the pic, I was thinking it was a mole issue. Drunk moles... but not lightning.
