It looks like Titleist is adding a weight slot that allows you to shift weight from heel to toe. By the image it looks more center to heel. Not sure I like the design aspect. I think moving weight forward and backwards has a greater impact on club fitting. Also, I don't think it looks good on that driver.

Seems like Titleist is falling behind on driver technology or they just don't fully buy into adjustable weights.  I am sure Titliest loyalists will buy this club but overall I don't think it will do very well unless it produces some really impressive numbers on simulators and the range.

I've tested the Titleist drivers each time I've gone to test drivers and get fitted. They've never impressed me more than any other club really. They perform well, but have never given me better numbers than other drivers. Of course that's just me, and I can completely see other people having different results. Right now, I'm happy with what I have. Unless it breaks I won't be testing any other drivers out.

I just recently was fitted for my 915D3. With the right shaft and the lower spinning D3 head my drives have been much more consistent and longer than ever.

I knew it was a Titleist driver release year, but figured if I got fitted properly it wouldn't matter how much they changed the driver.

I think it looks OK and Im sure it will grow on me. Contrary to what @Jeremie Boop said, I actually only prefer Titleist woods. I cant stand Taylormade and the ping G sound is a little too muted for me.

I don't mind them, just never had one fit well enough to purchase one. I loved my Titleist hybrid, but once it was stolen I didn't have the money to replace it so I had to deal with getting a cheaper option. I don't have a TM or Ping wood, but I did like my G25 Driver *also stolen* despite it's harsher sound. My current driver is much more "traditional" sounding, quite a bit like the Titleist Driver or Callaway drivers sounded. It's distinctly possible that I don't have a good enough swing to get the best numbers out of Titleist drivers also, so there's always that. The Srixon driver I got fitted into is the right balance of forgiveness and distance for me so that's what I went with. I am always completely open minded when I go in for a fitting for any club. If I wasn't I would never have tried out the one I ended up with.

I love my Ping Driver and 3-wood :-P

I do think Titleist makes one of the top fairway and hybrids on the market. Their drivers are always top quality.

I will say for people who are looking for ultra low spin they will not get that from a Titleist driver. The 915 sits at the industry average for CG location in terms of how far back and low the location is at. I would classify it as mid to mid-low spinning.

I havent liked the sound any of the Titleist drivers has made since the 913. It seems like a petty thing to disqualify a club for, but I just cant hit a club that doesn't sound right to me. Ill probably use my 913D3 until i crack it or something.

Sound it important. I feel the same way about TaylorMade and Ping drivers. They perform well, but sound off to me. I keep going back to my 915D2. FWIW, I like the 915 and 910 sound more so than the 913. I bought those used and sold the 913. I gave the 910 to a friend in need of a driver.

i can appreciate your opinion. A few years ago, some outfit, I forget who it was, brought out a driver that sounded like an aluminum softball bat! Every time I'd hear one of those on a course it would grate on my nerves! I still hit a TM R9. It performs well for me, and I get a nice, satisfying "crack" when I hit the ball. It's as close to an old persimmon driver hitting a balata ball that a metal driver can get, IMO!

    • Day 105: mirror work today. Focused on not looping my hands at the top of the swing. Straight down.
    • Still working on the backswing a bit. Hand still gets away from the body, out towards the ball, and at A2 the club wants to roll over and get flat at A3. It's just very difficult to shallow from that position like I want. Which makes my downswing work impossible.  Backswing I have been playing around with the left leg straightening to start the backswing. It's like, a slight shove of the hips right with the left leg. Then just keep the flex in the right knee as I turn into it. I kind of like it. I never had a good swing trigger. It helps keep my left knee extended.  Yea, definitely feeling the hand path is traveling down the feet line, and straight up. A little bit of wrist rotation, and a lot more hinge sooner in the right wrist and elbow. I am trying to get the feeling that the arm hinging up then is the cause for the right shoulder to retract to finish the backswing. Club feels much more vertical at A3. I am trying to have my wrist fully hinged by then.  Feel the club and arms stop at A3.5 (my A4). If my arm collapses late, then I turn into that and I am pretty much screwed. The club and arms kind of have a floaty feeling, where they are just suspended in air for a bit, then drop.  Downswing I have been trying to think of a good visual for this mentally. I like the idea of my hands taking a wide arc to my right pocket, or I am taking the back of the hosel and trying to hit the ground behind my right foot.    Left knee stuff, just sooner.
