Well after what I considered my best round off the tee and on appraches on Monday with a new driver, two days later Im in a cast with wrst bone and tendon problem. I personally dont understand how it happened either. I played an 18 hole round instead of 9 but thats about it. Im a small hitter so I dont see how my swing would have caused it. Im just worried now that I might need to change a swing I thought was finaly working after I heal...

I was out last year with a wrist injury. You are not giving us much to go on here. What is the point?

Ugh - sorry to hear that. Hopefully you'll get back out there soon.

The last videos are from May but this is basically my swing. It looks like a slow swing to me and not that violent?

So sorry to hear!! Just when you were solidifying a big improvement on your game off the tee. Let us know if you pinpoint the cause, or have a sense how long you're out.

On the bright side, you can practice 100% putting someday soon, and nobody will give you grief about it. Too soon?

I'm not a doctor, but it's unlikely that a "flaw" in your swing caused the injury. The human body is a crazy thing. If physical therapy is part of your recovery process, the therapist will probably help you figure out what motions to avoid.

What was the diagnosis?

If you hit a tree root or side / bottom of a sand bunker you could put enough stress on your wrist bones and tendons to do damage but you would know it the second you hit them.  Some injuries are repetitive use injuries, I know a lot of runners that were sidelined with stress fractures in their legs and feet just from all the miles they ran.

Haha thanks a bunch, I actually can still putt! You made me feel better about my current putting but ifs the only skill I can practise, might as well try to improve.

Welcome to the club. Messed up my shoulder a couple weeks ago, and have no idea how I did it. Not a clue. Woke up to pain, and very little range of motion. Should be all better and golfing again in 3-5 weeks.

Some cracks apeared in some bones and some messy tendons I was told. 3 weeks in the cast than physio. The doctor also played golf and un-officially suggested to get my swing looked at for anything that might be stressing out my right wrist too much.I actually think I will take a lesson, I've never had my swing looked at.

Get used to the "whacking" it jokes now. Seems like everyone thinks they are the first one to say it...
