My buddy ordered these. I think he is a sucker.

When I held them, they felt lighter than my wedges, and the grooves were much much shallower than a normal wedge. 3 for $99 should tell you what kind of quality your'e buying.

Really? That is surprising as their spec sheet states the grooves are as deep as will allow, and closer together to generate more spin.

Every review i'm reading is saying these are decent. Wish they sold in shops so I could try them out!

Don't they have a 60 day guarantee? You can try them and if you don't like them, all they end up costing you is a little bit of shipping IIRC.

I bought a Bombtech driver once that didn't help my driving at all since I suck at hitting the driver an Sully was quite accomodating when I wanted to return it.

But I don't need to hit my wedge 400 yards. :-D

In all seriousness, I don't know personally but from what I have heard from other folks is that they're "OK." I wouldn't skimp in the wedge department though for something just "OK."

If you're searching for that price point, I would take a look at Tour Edge Exotics stuff too. My two cents

I have them and I love mine. I had calloway wedges before these and didn't like them at all. The quality is just as good and I can spin these with no problems. The only thing I didn't like was the pure grips, I changed mine out to golf prid mutli-compound grips.

For $99 for all 3 you won't be disappointed, I got mine when they first came out and they were I think $50 a peice.

I believe they carry them at Academy.  I looked at a 72 degree there that I think was Bombtech.  Didn't see anything wrong with it other than that stupid of a loft.  You can check them out in person.

unfortunately I am from the UK so a bit more difficult to try them!

Interesting, thanks for the replies. Might be worth a punt as I also have a 20% coupon code too.

I'm pretty sure the only place you can get bombtech products is from bombtech themselves.

The closest Academy to me carries Wilson's SuperFly wedges in at least 72* and 76* lofts.  I put the 76* on the ground yesterday; I'm not sure I'm brave enough to swing it with a ball in front of it.  I might flinch on contact.

    • Thanks but honestly… I don't know any other way. I don't mind being wrong so long as I know where to go from there. I don't like being wrong — I'd love to get things right (which is different than "being right"). I recommend grabbing a furniture slider or a paper plate or something, and doing something like this: First, make a swing where you let your trail foot swing out as you turn, then twist that foot back in. From DL and FO, it'll look like this: Then, during a regular backswing, try to twist your foot in slightly (demonstrated in the left image): You'll notice a crease along the trail side of your hip, your pelvis will "fold" into that thigh (internal rotation of the hip joint), and your "bits" will be squished a little between your pelvis and your thigh. Ben Hogan said once: "At the top of the back swing the groin muscle on the inside of your rt [sic] leg near your right nut will tighten," Hogan wrote. "This subtle feeling of tightness there tells you that you have made the correct move back from the ball." I don't know about that, but you will probably feel something down around that area.
    • Yep. I think it will start to feel even more athletic when we start on the downswing stuff later.  I know, it's just I want to be younger so I have more time to enjoy the changes. 🙂
    • I need to drop a couple of stone. 🙂 😛    Yep. Yeah, but in the end, it feels more athletic, like you're actually using your legs, yeah? As you know… we use the best available info we have. Like others, I was fooled a little by 2D images for awhile (moving or still). Unlike others, I've learned and grown and moved on since then, while they're still looking at their images (often from lousy camera angles).
