okay so need some help getting something for my brother for xmas. Hes an assistant pro, so he already has all the balls, clubs, bags, hats....etc that he could ever want golf wise.

So got any idea what i could get him thats golf related? Perhaps something thats pretty creative?

I know he has a pocket rules book, but i was thinking about getting him an official usga rules book, any idea where i can get one?

USGA would sell the rules and their decisions on it through their website.

There are other golf related things you can get him. My sister has gotten me a golf-ball condiment server (for serving chips and dip) and a golf-themed bar set. I have golf ball (large) bookends that used to belong to my grandfather. How about his favorite golf movie on DVD?

Might be to late for this, but last year my wife got me a sleeve of new vintage golf balls(circa 1950's) from St. Andrews Scotland. All my golfing friends that have seen them are jealous. I think she got them on ebay.

I am the same way, I am not a pro, but I work at the course and I have everything for golf that I need. One year my Mother in Law got my a set of Harvey Penick hardcover books, leather bound, gold edges, they are really nice.

I still read them all the time, especially when I am working on something in my game. Best thing was they came autographed by Mr. Penick himself. She paid a fortune for them I know. But anyway a nice golf book is a great gift.

I am what you describe. I've told my parents to not get my aything golf anymore. The one thing I can recommend is find his favorite player and get him personalized stuff? Like mentioned, autographed memorabilia (which can be hard, because who knows if its authentic or not). For example, I am a huge Ben Hogan fan. On ebay I collect sets of his old clubs. I've found old signed golf balls. What I've been really into lately is old photographs used for newspaper articles and the like. Those are on the rare side to find, but they pop up every once in a while.

How about one of those books which gives you a discount at all the local courses? I don't know about your area, but Kentucky has one such book that sells for about $35 which gives you coupons for a few bucks off (varies from free golf to a few dollars off) at dozens of courses in the state.

Does he have a favorite sports team? They sell gift sets that can include some balls with the logo, some towels, ball holders, etc.

How about a gift certificate to his favorite restaurant? I know that when I was in that position, I didn't want or need anything golf related (that and I am so picky when it comes to golf stuff).
