How did the face get so closed here?

It doesn't look like a lot of forearm roll, maybe I'm not seeing it right or the angle is off or something. Or maybe he set the face close on setup?

Agree.  And it looks like pretty good form for a rightie swinging  lefthanded with a right-handed club.

Ah, of course. Something I've never even tried for fun, need to address this.

I assume you can't do this with clubheads that aren't blade like in design?

Why not? The clubface is the same.

I turned a wedge over and hit it in that thread.

No conventional swing due to tree in pic; hit it left-handed with the club face turned down.
