We're being teased with sunshine. This weekend (Feb.10-12) the St. Louis Golf Expo returns to the St. Charles Convention Center.

Here's the web link: https://stlouisgolfexpo.com/

My wife Shirley and I are making a Saturday trip along my brother Sam and my co-worker Jeff. Shirley retired in September, and is gearing up to be a regular in women's golf at our club.

We're planning on spending the day, and then eating supper about 5 PM at the Cyprus Grille at the next-door hotel. Shirley and I ate there with @teamroper60 and his wife Bernie a couple of Expos ago.

So, what plans do the rest of you Archlanders have? Anyone coming on Saturday? Anyone good for supper at 5 PM? Let us know your plans and schedules.

Would like to hear from @rickd , @Rick_D, @CoachB25, @Brian W, @Club Rat, @bshack, @oiler69,  @kenstl, @MissouriHacker @Tim Williamson

And @saevel25... are you feeling adventurous?

Anyone else that's interested, let me know!

Focus, connect and follow through!

Man, I wish I had known about this. It's only about 6 1/2 drive and definitely would have been worth the drive if I had planned on it :-(

You and @GolfLug have quite the radius of considering golf meetups. Very impressive!

Good luck with this outing, guys.

The way I look at it, anything within driving distance is a viable destination. I consider anything 12 hours or less an easy drive and cheaper than flying.

    • I’d go with the Titleist if you liked the look of the blades but were suffering with distance. They should be a little more forgiving than a full blade and still retain some workability. Also remember to consider the shafts each have as this will be a big contributor to how they feel. Clemsonfan is right though… get fit or spend a bit of time on a launch monitor 🤙
    • Day 28: 2026.01.30 Managed to make time for a few swings out back today. Need a proper bit of range time this weekend.
    • Day 30, 1/30.  Six minutes this morning hitting a few more range balls, indoors, off a mat, into the net.  Did this before leaving the house.

    • Hi All my New Year’s resolution was to start playing golf again. I’ve caught the bug and am really enjoying hitting balls at a couple of my local ranges.looking forward to getting back out on courses in the spring. Based in the UK and 38 years old, I’ve been playing since I was a kid. Best handicap I’ve held is 2 in my mid 20s. Over the past 10 years I’ve played once or twice a year, sometimes with friends or for work. Could shoot 4-5 over, but just as easily shoot 15-20 over. I’ve moved to South Wales and am very lucky to be near some world class links courses, which gives me even more motivation to get playing again! I will start looking for a local coach in my area when I have more time to invest, but I recalled scouring this forum a few years ago and finding some good tips and advice so wanted to give it a try to see if there were any glaring issues I could fix in the meantime!  A few swings below… one from 1st week Jan and one from today. I have fixed my P1 takeaway to my liking and am now working on what I see as pretty severe early extension & hip thrust. Also terrible hip rotation. I’d like confirmation that this is indeed a problem and and suggestions on a few good drills. Thanks for reading 🙂 I've been Playing Golf for: 30+ years My current handicap index or average score is: 10ish over My typical ball flight is: mid The shot I hate or the "miss" I'm trying to reduce/eliminate is: push right with irons, hooks and push with driver!  Videos:
