Do they disassemble all the bleachers at Augusta National immediately after the completion of the last round of The Masters Tournament?

I assume they must.  The course is only open for play by its members for a few months each year, something like October to May.  I'd imagine they want to get the bleachers and all the rest of the tournament stuff out of the way as quickly as possible.

Thank you.  I think you're correct as I don't believe there is any other event where spectators are allowed on the grounds.  I read an article that said in addition to endless financial resources, they have a bottomless pit to draw from for top quality grounds crew people whenever anything has to be done on the course.  We can certainly appreciate that Augusta National doesn't operate on a "Shoestring." ;-)

There are relatively few grandstands on the course at the Masters compared to other major tournaments, in any case. The landscaping of the course provides natural spectator vantage points on most holes.

Yeah.

Left of #15 they have grandstands, IIRC, and those are definitely gone… as recently as less than one month ago:

Left of 15th green and 11th green/12th tee are the big grandstands; there's a small bleacher section at 13th green/14th tee. I'm struggling to think of any other grandstands on the entire course.

OK, thank you.  I have never been there and didn't realize that.  I did see a shot of some bleachers so I just assumed that they had lots of them like other tournaments.

In the race of life, always back self-interest. At least you know it's trying.

Especially when you compare the Masters to a tournament like the WGC Bridgestone at Firestone CC in Akron. They erect a city out there! And a couple of weeks after the tournament ends, it's gone!

I have a friend who played Augusta in October 2015.  Zero grandstands anywhere on the course outside of the Masters.

    • Day 27 - 2026-01-16 Played 18 with some of the usual "too many voices" going on when I'm working on swing stuff. Fun to get out in great bay area winter weather.
    • I know one recent college grad who's trying the same thing.  This guy was a Division III All-American, went on to play one year at Division I LSU, and is not working hard.  He won the Gulf States Open, a pro event, and made it to the second stage of the Korn Ferry Tour School late in the fall.  And didn't make the cut to get to the final stage.  I won't talk about swing or play stuff, but I believe there are a couple of things that are essential.  Obviously, talent, and drive, or work ethic.   I can't tell you how to do it, but you HAVE to get through it.  Golf is going to be your life, and it takes lots of work. Two more things that are really critical.  You'll need the facility to be able to practice.  My young friend stayed in Baton Rouge, as a past player on the team he can still use the LSU practice facilities.  And money.  Its unlikely you'll be able to work a full-time job and practice the way you will need to.  You'll probably need backing, from a parent, from a consortium of friends or club members., something to support you. Good luck, its not an easy path, but anything is possible.  Another young man from our area, Mike Brennan, just won for the first time on the "big" PGA Tour.
    • No one in the world is as smart as Phil thinks he is.
    • Get more comfortable with being uncomfortable. If you don’t like practicing then give up now. You don’t have the passion to become a pro. Unless that mentality changes you won’t do well under stressful situations.    Call the PGA Tour and ask. They probably have resources available.
