Please recommend me a carry bag, I've been searching and searching and I can't get one that I like.

I like the jones bag but i think the mouth is too big?

I only play with 6 clubs (driver, 5i,7i,9i,SW,Putter), I carry often but occasionally will ride, if partner or group is all riding.

Looking for the following specs

  • No stand/plastic added weight
  • 5-6 Inch mouth
  • 1 or 2 divider (i hate my graphic shaft rubbing on iron heads)
  • Ridge opening mouth for easy club removal
  • Light weight
  • Any material
  • 1 or 2 straps

Current Bag is the maxfli sunday bag (my favorite bag, i use it everyday, but wish they had a non stand version)

I also have a Wellzher 0.9 Sunday (Collapsible), but the mouth closes itself and hard to pull clubs out, very unbalanced.

Also have the Titlest Sunday Carry which was close to perfect but the mouth is too big for 6 clubs only

Don't have one, but the Jones bag seems trendy these days.

The only think I can offer for a carry bag is... get the one with the back-pack style strap. Using a one strap bags is brutal and I'm sure it can't be good for your back in the long run; although I'm sure people will tell me "I've done it my whole life."

Sounds like you've already researched 'day bags' enough.  I'll see if I can find mine - it meets your recs.  But.....the stiching is wearing out at the mouth of the bag pretty early considering I've only had it for two years and only use it in the winter to hold half my clubs for the indoor range...

I have a Callaway Sunday bag with a 6" mouth, no dividers, one pocket (for balls) and a single strap.  Never seen another like it.  I did add 7 tubes to keep the clubs from tangling.  I added one of those snap on tee holders.  If I did more than walk a par 3 nine hole course I think I would really want legs as I put the bag down on the ground for every shot.  I may switch to a dual strap.

I have one of these that works great for 6 clubs for me, I also have a Callaway hyperlite 1 with a single strap that will hold more clubs.

I like a single strap best, over your left shoulder opening facing forward and then put your arms behind you and carry it over your lower back. Get to the ball, handle of bag in left hand, grab the club with your right and put the bag down, swing the club and you are off again.

But all i have is bag, clubs, towel, a few balls, a couple tees and a water bottle

    • Day 180 - 2025-03-29 Not a long time today, but I got my five minutes in jumping and doing some work on the downswing.
    • I’ll just stick to the basics for now - got enough to work on… this is my home practice range. The little clearing in about the center of the photo is roughly 200 yards.

    • Played Musgrove Mill today. 72.3/155. +9 for 15 official holes as 2 holes are closed, and the par 5 16th plays as a converted par 3. We played the first three holes over to finish 18, and parred 1 and2 amped bogeyed 3. The good: hit every fairway. 1 less than normal for the converted par 3, but the second time I have done that this year. My sand wedge approach on 10 after a monster drive hit the pin in the back left corner hit he pin and spun away to 9’, and I missed the putt.   The great: hit 8 GIR and 7 were inside 10’. Needs work: Missed every birdie putt. No lip-outs. Just struggled on fast greens. Three-putted the par-5 9th with the pin on the back tier and jut missed hitting my approach to the proper level and it spun all the way to the front of the green.
