Besides the fact that your comment has nothing to do with golf or Fox's coverage, using derogatory terms to describe women because you don't like the way they look isn't something I want, or would want my wife or kids to read here.

Nothing to do with FOX's coverage? What was Sonders doing exactly? Last I checked she was hired by FOX to cover golf. Don't let your wife and kids out in the real world if you can't handle a spade being called a spade. All those women that go overboard with plastic surgery, injections, etc end up looking all the same at the end of the road. You can't tell me the pic I posted is making her better looking compared to the golf channel days. That look is a worn out porn star that is having trouble coming to grips that aging is normal.

Trollin' is the life

Fox is always going to be behind on tv talent compared to NBC and CBS because they only do one PGA event a year. That's why I laughed when people said Feherty should go to Fox. Feherty wants to go to a network where he can do a lot of PGA events a year. That's why I give Fox a passing grade for their coverage. Most of the guys covering the Open were decent.

Still upset NBC lost the US Open, but not upset we don't have to hear Chris Berman anymore trying to do golf.

Why belabor the point? He thought you went a bit low. Move on and be courteous.

Mostly agree, except a couple of minor things that did jump out at me on both sides:

Good:

  • Love the extended use of tracer features, not just on one or two designated tee boxes like we normally see.
  • Especially love the split screen shot with the graphic on the right showing the ball travel path.  I wish that would become the norm for all par 4 and 5 tee shots on telecasts.

Bad:

  • The guy giving the course insights was cool and informative, but ... a basketball???  Seriously?  How is that at all indicative of how a golf ball might behave?

And that's pretty much it.  Everything else was perfectly adequate.

I loved the use of the protracer and split screen. I found that SWMBO was actually paying attention to the protracer. It gave her an indication of what the ball was doing and where it was going. Opposed to the usual non-visible ball in a sky shot!

I like the guy giving the course insight. Once again his insight made SWMBO pay attention and start commenting on the course.
I think he used a basket ball because it is a larger visual aide!

Sonders:
Without knocking her life choices, there is no denying there is a visual aspect of her interviews. That being said, I can not look at Joe Buck without thinking of his hair plugs!
However I watch golf to watch golf, to watch a golfer hit a ball and walk after it.
I have no interest or use for the type of interview or stories Sonders covers. You can replace her with anyone and I would feel the same way.

Ok, ok. Yeesh. I was just objecting to the Skank word. Funny thing is, I am NOT at all a PC guy, just seemed overboard. Moving on....
