Callaway chrome soft.

I've never seen a dozen Chrome Softs for "$30-35" as the OP asked. Usually $40-44 a dozen?

You can get them new for 35 if you look around. I buy them grade A for 1 buck a piece used.

my local Walmart has Chrome Soft for $36/dozen.  Was surprised to see them in Walmart today but hey, that's a good price.

Okay, realizing I am "Johnny come lately" when it comes to review, but just received my Get Sum's from Amazon. First impressions are favorable, but only have hit them in backyard practice.  In a nut-shell, I like them. Soft, but not mushy. Seem to fly straighter than some balls I have used but with the caveat not really enough room for viable test. Off the mat, they had a nice muted click, spin noticeable from the standpoint of how they reacted when bounced off the vinyl target.

From a little more distance (45 feet), They seemed to fly straight and true and although not really enough room to shape the shots, I was able at least to get the feeling that they might be workable in actual play.

One thing I noticed, was when hit with a not-so-clean/dusty  six iron, the dimple impressions appeared bigger. this may or may not indicate the degree of compression, but more than likely my imagination or other factors.

Anyway, my opinion fwiw from a high capper trending downwards. (last four rounds in low 80's)

    • Day 299: played 18. Hit the ball well, but did not score well. I think I ended up +10, with half of that coming on 2 holes.
    • Day 549, May 4, 2024 After lessons and working with Natalie, hit some balls for awhile. Just backswing stuff. Forgot about the slightly shorter stuff, though I'm sure it was as they were only about 75% speed with brief pauses.

    • Best drive I've ever hit: I will not be answering any questions about the rest of the hole. Or the round, for that matter.
    • I tried hybrids way back when TaylorMade introduced the copper orange Firesole Rescue, the clubhead having been made of titanium which was still relatively new even in drivers back then. I couldn't hit it well at all, and while the success of hybrids suggests that the modern ones must be quite good,  I'm perfectly happy with the 5, 7, and 9-woods.  Early ones of mine were Top Flite Intimidator 400s made by Spalding... and also made of titanium, now that I think of it.  I still have them in my basement. I do bag a driving iron, but it's a one-trick-pony that never sees fairway use.
