Hello, my name is Darren and I'm currently in my second year of playing this game seriously and really making a commitment to improve.  Last year my goal was to break 100 and I was able to accomplish this in October.  This year my goal was to break 90 and thankfully I was able to break this milestone last month with an 85, my best round by a half dozen strokes.

Lately it seems some old bad habits are creeping back into my swing and I'm averaging in the high 90s to 100 over the past few weeks.  I'm slicing every wood in my bag.  I have a swing video that I'll post so I can get some insight. I truly believe that I have the ability to improve my game so that I can be a competitive, above average player.  Though this humbling game often rattles my confidence.

Welcome to TST Darren.  Congrats on the 85 -- you didn't just break 90, you shattered it.  Hopefully we can help keep you improving!

Anyone who can make as much progress as you have, in such a short period of time, has a bright future.  The road ahead will not be without peril, treachery, and confusion; but it will be well worth it.  Welcome and Bon Chance.

Welcome! to TST.

I used to live on the South Shore.  Played a few courses there.  My favorites were Green Harbor, Widows Walk and Easton Country Club.

Congrats on the 85.  I've been playing for over 20, seriously for the past 4 or 5 and I've only broke 90 three times.
