I was browsing for a cheap pop up chipping net when i came accross the below balls sold via Net World Sports. Never heard of them before. £13.99 per dozen over here.

FORB F-3 Ultra Precision Golf Balls

They are 3 piece Surlyn and are apparently "Better than Callaway Supersoft"

They do a 5 piece Urethane for under £30 per dozen that is Pro V1 but cheaper.

Has anyone on here ever heard of FORB golf or these balls or are they just a UK thing?

Thought out of all the people on here you would be the one to have heard of them :-D

Apparently, according to the website,  top 100 PGA coach Jason Davies thinks they are great.....not heard of him either. Had to google him

Cant find anything on the web about FORB in regards to their own website but from what i can find they also seem to manufacture practice nets and mats. That may give some clue as to how good the balls are (:poo: possibly??). Had i needed any more balls i may have been tempted but i value my life to much!

May have to sneak some to do a cheeky review/test

never heard of them, but if its cheaper, its worth a try. that would be great if you like them because you are getting a great price on similar performance as the more marketed brands.

That's clever!

Who knows? They will have an established golf ball maker producing them. I'm sure they didn't build their own factory! They might be great.

Many years ago my buddy ordered some golf balls from an ad in the back pages of a golf magazine. This was WAY before the internet. I still remember the name of the ball, "Condor Gold".

That thing flew like no other ball I hit! It was like hitting a Super Ball! I now have the feeling that it would be non-conforming. But damn! It was fun!

    • Day 266 - More putting work, really focused on how my feet are lined up.
    • Day 80: a bunch of mirror work ole watching Michigan lose. Working on grip and downswing feels.
    • Day 5 - 2024-10-05 Hit some somewhat soft pitching wedges. The outside and inside, particularly the outside of the left thumb where my right hand goes on it, is still pretty sore. I don't think I'll do more damage, but I'm reluctant to do too much because I don't want to compensate or alter my motion.
    • Day 156 (05 Sep 24) - Played new to me course today, it’s near our beach place and have been wanting to play it for a couple of years now.  It’s a neat Par 70 that plays just over 6k from the tips, played the whites 5,500 +/-.  Tight fairways and severely undulating greens made for some great shot strategy.  Wound up with an even 80 that included two lost ball penalties.  Putter was solid - 28 total.  Wedge play kept the pars happening - 6 of the 9 pars were up and downs.  Not bad for the first time on a new course.
