Hey here's another question I been thinking about. Now I've never used one hence my ignorance on the subject, but since most Scotty's are custom done titleist putters, why are they so high? Do they putt better than the normal titleist would? Or is the price because he has customized the look and added stones or maybe miller the face, whatever. What's the big deal with the Scotty?

the market will bear what is dictated by the demand.   If there is a major demand for the putter, they can justify the price.   I've tried them, they are very nice but personally, I can't justify the cost.   My 2-ball felt almost as good for about 1/3 of the cost.    Each individual will have a unique putter preference.

Agreed with dennyjones, I've tried plenty of Camerons before and have no reason to ever buy one.

My Odyssey White Hot Tour #1 feels better off the face, has been reliable since day 1, and saved a couple hundred off what a Scotty would have ran.

But being that the market is more saturated with well-to-do folk for whom price is (a) not only not an issue, but (b) their main indicator of quality, the demand for Camerons is there. And they do a good job of producing and marketing them as top-of-the-line.

Now I'd have to be daft to say they're no good... (see Spieth, JThomas, etc..)

I think a decent comparison would be putting some fancy Nike running shoes up against a pair of New Balances -- the price difference is a lot more significant than the actual difference in quality.

I just didnt get it. I have a. Odyssey metal x milled 1 that I love and works great for me and I have an odyssey white hot rossie, that I also love the feel, balance, weight, and the way it plays. I got them both for about 200, 200 for both clubs, their used, except that the metal x is in mint condition, but 200 for two good clubs I get, 350 for a putter....it better guarantee that u jar it from 90 ft before I pay that much. But thats my opinion. I just didnt know if they're was something amazing or mystical about these that I was unaware of for that price

I picked up a used Scotty Cameron Circa 62 #6. It is the best feeling putter I have ever owned. I'm not saying that there are not other good putters out there, but I have been playing since the late 60s, and this one is the best I've owned..

I'll take my Edel over a Scotty any day.

      I realize the frame cuts off my tail but wanted to specifically see my hand path and club shaft and head travel from A5 to A7 with the grip and posture work I have been doing . This might be the shallowest I have managed to get the club head to enter into impact. I like the finish much more as well.

      Context:  I used to play golf very regularly (and when I'm playing regularly, I'm on TST regularly).  In summer 2022, I got my handicap down to a personal-best 11.9.  Unfortunately, in the three years since then, I've had far less time to play, and didn't really make the time to practice.  I've played a bit more the past few months, and I anticipate having a lot more time to practice starting in about two months, at which point I'm hoping to go back to my old practice habits (practicing daily, Evolvr lessons, spending more time on TST (come to think of it, I can do that important last part now)).   But it was thinking about how different my nines have been a few times in the past month or so that made me wonder if there was a thread here about it, and sure enough, there was.  In the past month or so, I've had a 38-46 and a 45-39.
