Day 13  December 16.  Warmed up on the range and then played 18 holes.  Now I am home, and will be doing a little putting down the ruler, work in my office with my shortened 7 iron and Impact Ball.  Then later this evening I will be on a 90 minute call focusing on how to take it from the range to the course.

As it relates to score..  I shot 77 today.... which continues my downward trend on that particular course.   With the practice I have been putting in, I have been hitting the ball better...maybe too good! :-)  I have focused on my wedges a little in the last month to improve my contact, so today, on the first hole, I airmail the green with a wedge!!  Into the water, then up and down, starting with a double bogey -- not how I envisioned the round going, ... so I was timid/unsure the rest of the round when I had a wedge in my hand... resulting in very poor proximity to the hole.  I still short 4 over par, with 14 GIR.  So ball striking better... lots of wedge work to do... before playing the course again.

Day 368

Warmed up hitting some balls into my net with 7-iron, and it was light enough to get some film so I recorded a bit.

Did a superspeed workout, and then hit some foam balls with driver. Tried to record, but video wasn't great because it was getting pretty dark. Might try to send a clip to my teacher anyway to see what if there is anything glaring that she can pick up. I have not been hitting driver well at all lately.

Day 352 - December 16, 2020

A good 45-minute session, though I'm annoyed that my Blast data didn't sync up and save. I had a really good session.

DAY 14  December 17th    Third day of the Tour25 BluePrint Challenge.  I completed 20 different drills... each requiring me to hit 8 shots.  Between drills I hit three balls with the Swingwyde connected to my 3 wood.  Then hit a dozen drivers to finish off the session.  So 232 balls hit today.  Total time a little over 3 hours.  Wish I had gone back to the practice area after lunch -- "need better discipline"

Day 369

Watched Charlie Woods hitting balls with Tiger and felt profoundly shitty at golf. Went outside and worked on some tempo drills. Then did a little takeaway/backswing practice in the mirror.

Is there one or two main things you use it for?  I don’t know a ton about it but from looking at the site I’m still a little confused.

Putting stuff, mostly. I'll start a new topic on it now.

Look in Swing Thoughts in a little while.

DAY 15 December 18.  Cold and windy out today... so stuck in the house.  Well I could have worn winter clothes, and gloves and tried to play/practice.  Instead a 60 minute coaching session with my Mental Coach -- doing some goal mapping for next year.  Then continued the work for awhile.  Finally pulled out my putter.. and putted on the 4 foot ruler for 10 minutes.

    • The term I hear most often is "double teeing" which means the course/club has starting times from both the #1 and #10 tee.  I have encountered this many times and we know if we are the first group off #10, we may well get to #1 and have to wait because there are groups still with tee times yet to tee of #1.  In most instances, where the course/club has a starter, he normally explains this situation.  In this case, the pro advised what you would could/would encounter making the turn to #1.  And, that is exactly what happened.  Probably would have been wise to talk to the pro after playing back 9 and ask when you could go off #1 since apparently that club does not double tee.   Regardless, the outburst towards the other group was uncalled for.  And, I don't blame the member for being upset.  As a member of a private club, you are responsible for the actions of your guest.  I have played many times as a guest in the UK and I am pretty damn sure my host was responsible for my actions while at the club.  I know at the clubs I have belonged to here in the US, that is the way it is.  As a matter of fact, the member may find himself being brought before management and facing possible suspension.  So, I don't blame him for being upset.  However, as the host, he really should have stepped up and put a stop to the OP's actions.  OP makes this statement "I now understand that standards are different on the "private course." But I'll take those lessons to the muni, too."  No, the standards are not different.  You, sir, seem to be just a bit hard headed and belligerent, even if you are college professor...which possibly explains a lot.   JMHO
    • Day 32: worked for about 10 minutes on my drill. Filmed it as well for a check in. I think it’s slightly better but still seeing some issues.
