Day 238: Went to the range. Worked on my new priority piece for the first 20 minutes or so. Spent the last 20 minutes or so doing some random practice. Just needed a little bit of time to see where the ball is going on the range.

Day 10: 3/4/2024

I had a long range session today. Twice while I was there somebody came over and gave me like half a jumbo bucket that they ran out of gas on. Not sure why so many folks get the jumbo, but I was happy to keep working. 

My bag is an ever-changing combination of clubs. 

A mix I am forever tinkering with.

I did my overspeed training first thing this morning. 

Got to the range on lunch. Worked on priority pieces and worked on start line with the driver. 

My bag is an ever-changing combination of clubs. 

A mix I am forever tinkering with.

Day 83 (05 Mar 23) - Worked with Divot Board in backyard with irons and hard foam balls.  Like the feedback the board provides and tying that to the ball flight seen.

Day 240: went to the range at lunch. Worked on my new priority piece of less knee bend and more hip turn in downswing. Worked slowly. It was solid on film. I think I have good progress.

Went downtown about 90 minutes early, and then got at least about 45 minutes of good work in on the transition/downswing. It has to feel more awkward for now, and that's okay.

Day 69: 3/5/24

Session 5/24 of Full Speed Spectrum in Stack training. Hit my high speed for this 24-session program. Not my fastest ever, but moving in the right direction.  Don’t know when I’ll get to play, but I should be ready!

Day 12: 3/6/2024

Got to the range again today. I worked on my priority pieces with the 6 and 9 iron. 

Then I spent time also with the 6 and 9 irons working on trajectory and start line. 

Shotscope is telling me that my driving, short game and putting are now about where they need to be to get to single digits. My approach shots are now the weak link where I have the most strokes lost to a 5 handicap. Therefore, much of what I plan to do over the next 5-6 weeks will be geared toward improving my approach play.

Got 15 minutes in before lessons today. Might have been 20 or 25. Got distracted talking to some students, recording some of their swings, etc. Will have a good session tomorrow.

      Question About UK vs. U.S. Course Etiquette

      The term I hear most often is "double teeing" which means the course/club has starting times from both the #1 and #10 tee.  I have encountered this many times and we know if we are the first group off #10, we may well get to #1 and have to wait because there are groups still with tee times yet to tee of #1.  In most instances, where the course/club has a starter, he normally explains this situation.  In this case, the pro advised what you would could/would encounter making the turn to #1.  And, that is exactly what happened.  Probably would have been wise to talk to the pro after playing back 9 and ask when you could go off #1 since apparently that club does not double tee.   Regardless, the outburst towards the other group was uncalled for.  And, I don't blame the member for being upset.  As a member of a private club, you are responsible for the actions of your guest.  I have played many times as a guest in the UK and I am pretty damn sure my host was responsible for my actions while at the club.  I know at the clubs I have belonged to here in the US, that is the way it is.  As a matter of fact, the member may find himself being brought before management and facing possible suspension.  So, I don't blame him for being upset.  However, as the host, he really should have stepped up and put a stop to the OP's actions.  OP makes this statement "I now understand that standards are different on the "private course." But I'll take those lessons to the muni, too."  No, the standards are not different.  You, sir, seem to be just a bit hard headed and belligerent, even if you are college professor...which possibly explains a lot.   JMHO

      Day 44 (26 Dec 25)  -  played in the Friday men’s shootout with a twist - used the Toney Penna persimmons and MacGregor blades - had a blast playing these clubs.  They really help in zoning in on making solid ball contact.  Scoring was solid - had several looks at birdie and had a few par saves.  Overall a day of focused course management.
