"5 Minutes Daily" Practice Challenge

Day 1

Worked on my putting stroke for about 15 minutes today, which I just noticed is on the same swing path as my full swing: outside-to-in. My dad and I put a few Legos down, a little wider than a putter head length apart, which helped me to roll smoother putts. Hopefully that helps when I play tomorrow.

Day 43.  I did 10 minutes of half swings with my 9-iron and U-iron.  Off a mat, into a net, fake balls (a few real ones).  I also did speed sticks, protocol one.

Hit 20 balls with a 7-iron before my round this morning with the Planemate advanced protocol impact position drill.

Day 1: Did a superspeed session. Last one of the first protocol.

Day 44, February 23 2020.   Spent over 30 minutes putting today after the L.A. Wildcats got their first win of the season by 30.  I did a 6' "around the world" style drill : placed 12 coins at the clock pieces 6' out, then went in order to make them, picking up the coin when I sank the putt.  Result:  28 putts.  Made 6 on first pass, but only 2 on second pass (out of 6 remaining), eventually taking 28 total putts.   I then tried several 3' and didn't make more than 3 in a row, not a formal drill (maybe I should do that drill with 3' at some point)

Day 2: Did some mirror work today. Working on my priority piece, which is making my backswing more steep so I can more easily shallow out the downswing.

Day 81

Planemate advanced protocol impact position drills with 7-iron, and a little mirror stuff with driver using patio door window.

Day 56 - February 24, 2020

Full swing work again. This is going to be almost everything that I do.

18 balls today, some at slower speeds, some at faster speeds. Not great after playing yesterday - they started too far left for my liking. I can exaggerate the feeling a little bit more.

Day 45.  Long day at work, had time for 5 minutes of pitches (using a 9-iron) in the practice room at home while dinner was heating.

Day 57 - February 25, 2020

Full swing work again. This is going to be almost everything that I do.

Twenty swings or so downtown before an early lesson.

Day 82

Hit 30 balls with 5-wood and 3-wood (15 each), with a slo-mo rehearsal between balls focusing on making a full turn before starting downswing.

Day 3: Mirror work again today. Working on getting steeper in the takeaway.

Day 46.  If today is Tuesday, this must be Belgium speed sticks day.  Protocol one in my back yard this evening.  Green at the end was 113, a new record.  Although it occurs to me, I'm supposed to continuously set new personal bests.

Day 58 - February 26, 2020

Full swing work again. This is going to be almost everything that I do.

Hit 20 balls. It didn't go very well - feelings weren't working, contact was so so. So I hit about 30 more. Some were slower. Many were better. Not all were, by any stretch. I did like the left arm stretch feeling.

Next time, I'll film.

Day 83

A little tired and had an annoying headache after work, so just did some mirror work on the deck using the patio door as mirror. Focused on my usual issue of not making a full turn and hands getting too high.

Day 47.  I had been neglecting full swing practice, so I did my routine (and the old priority piece, which is still my most recent one) indoors, 9-iron, off a mat, into a net, practice balls.
