"5 Minutes Daily" Practice Challenge

Day 1: Starting up again. Worked for a few minutes indoors on my priority feels hitting a foam ball into my net. Did slower swings. Then did the short game pitch we were taught in Erie last year. Really focused on keeping eye contact on the ball through impact.

Day 54 (01 Feb 24) - Long day of work in the shop, able to get in some easy pitches with 8i, began at 15yds, moved to 20, then out to 25.  Hitting in 6 ball groups, focused on low flights and roll out to target pin.  Continued with the preshot rehearsal of checking club face position…

Day 36 - 2/1/24

Worked on grip, alignment, stance and posture.  Chipped with Almost golf balls. Finished with a few good minutes of putting through 50 mm gates.

Day 459, February 1, 2024

Got 20 minutes in before lessons today. Going to begin working on the downswing, as the backswing is "good enough" for now. The downswing is where I'll make my money.

Day 66- Dry swings outside working on grip, setup, and side bend in backswing.

Day 207: did a stack session. Worked on downswing feels in rest breaks.

Day 31 - More work on my backswing feels. Starting the swing with my shoulders, then lifting my arms up instead of around, seems to look better on video. Need to put it all together and hit some balls.

Day 2: worked on the same things in the basement.

Day 208: played 18 holes (+6, 10 GIR) and then practiced at the range for a bit.

Day 1: hit balls in my bet. Filmed the swing. Still need to change some things.

Day 37- 2/2/24

Groundhog’s Day Stack Full Speed Spectrum session. Finished at 103 at 195 grams, which is still below my high.

Day 55 (02 Feb 24) - Played RiverBend today, play was slowish as I was solo behind several foursomes (Friday men’s scramble).  Allowed time to set up for each shot and stay focused.  A good day to focus on course management and staying the plan - paid off as I shot a personal best complete with a chip in birdie on 12….

Day 32 - Worked on putting today, really trying to focus on Utley’s “left shoulder towards the chin” feeling and soft wrists.

Day 67- Grip, setup, and left sidebend work on backswing.

Day 38 - 2/3/24

Putted through 50 mm gates while watching all my basketball teams lose close games. Good session, disappointing basketball scores.

Day 56 (03 Feb 24)- Worked on short pitches w/8i…keeping with setup process I’ve been focused on.
