Day 226: Pulled out my net in my garage and worked on full swing. Filmed the swing to see how it is looking. Still having success with shorter, slower movements. Not yet translating into the full speed swing as much as I want it to, but I'll take some progress.

Day 55- 2/20/24

Finished Stack training program Full Speed Spectrum today. Gained 1 mph over these 24 sessions, and down 3 mph from the completion of my program that preceded my prior program. Last program, also the Full Speed Spectrum, I lost 4 mph.

I had to replace my grip to a Lamkin during my 5th program and never really swung as fast. I am sure the grip wasn’t the issue, but it was a change.

Stack is recommending Full Speed Spectrum again, for the 4th consecutive time, and to begin 4 days.

Day 478, February 20, 2024

Got some work in on the full swing. I'll post a little video in my Member Swing topic. Not going at it super hard, but left knee is 80% or 90%.

DAY 3:  Swing practice in the Golf Garage (52°, PW, 7i) for 30 minutes.  A little fall off from yesterday's gaudy numbers on the shot monitor, which I'm attributing to a little fatigue in the swing.  Post-op rehab continues! ☺️

Day 74 (21 Feb 24) - Plan was to meet up with a friend and hit a few range balls (his first time swinging a club since ‘15 and prior to that another 15 years.  We wound up playing 9 after some range time and had a blast.  It was fun watching someone embrace the game again….

    • First - glad to see these popping up again. Now to the topic at hand - I would rather be option 1.  If I know how far it's going (I mean a yard or two) I can always play to the wider parts of the fairway and/or the green and still do reasonably well.  Now if I could just really hit the "number" that well.
    • Day 2 (10 Mar 25) - Long day of driving to dr appt with son.  Thankfully got in one of my fave putting drills (two ball side by side) - the goal to have both balls come off the putter face equally by having them come off the putter face as close to the same time as possible.  First few rolls - the toe was leading the way as that ball flew off the face.  By the end of the drill both balls were basically equal off the face, rolling to within a couple of inches of each other.  Nice drill of focusing on squaring the face.  BTW - I was using the old Odyssey DF992.
    • Day 161 - 2025-03-10 Got a decent, long session in. Focused mostly on the backswing feels, and moved on toward the end of the four hours (not all hitting balls, I installed a motion sensing light switch in there too, and worked with a student over FaceTime for a bit) on the downswing feel.
    • Day 31: 3/10/25 Backswing drills with the ProSendr. Reinforcing iron play from yesterday.
    • I wrote up a response as a YouTube comment that I won't be posting on YouTube. What an absolute load of garbage. Your arm doesn't "slingshot" or "bounce" - you use the muscles in your arm to move your arm and throw the baseball. In one video you've managed to get roughly five areas of science almost completely backward. At best, your video sets up a straw man as nobody is telling golfers to do anything like what you show when you're demonstrating a "bad tennis player." The golfers you see on your lesson tee must be from a completely different world than almost anyone else on Earth, because most golfers do something more like what you prefer to teach - their arms are too passive for too long, they stay "up" too long, and are carried out toward the ball from the top. From there, they stall their pivot, often early extending while right tilting to TRY to not swing 15° left. You know… we have ways of measuring these things these days, but you're still stuck with a poor understanding of how the golf swing works and are peddling it to some unsuspecting and unfortunate souls. But, I know… you teach "athletes." I hope for your sake that's just code for "dumb" because anyone with even a room temperature IQ understands that there's nothing truly "effortless" about the golf swing.
