I would imagine the second-hand market for high-end highly customized women's clubs is awfully small...

Was the bag even in the store? No one would know they were her clubs unless they saw the WITB. I imagine the bag was discarded and the clubs brought in separately.

I didn't see that video in there. I wondered about that.

I'm sure everyone who looked at the bag saw it. But have you ever been to a Play It Again Sports store and seen the golf equipment? Half of it from the 80s.  It's basically a thrift store. Who knows how their policy for dealing with potentially stolen goods is set up, much less how it's implemented.  I bet the person who took them had no idea who she was, what an LPGA Tour player's bag looks like, etc.  Very likely they saw it, and just thought "bag of clubs - I can list it at $200 and settle for $150. I'll give this schmuck $100."

In one of the pieces, not sure it's linked in this thread, it quotes Morgan Pressel saying, I don't even bother putting my name on the bag anymore. Or something like that.

There are gps devices custom made for finding your luggage, but who's to stop a thief from removing it although it looks like thief in this case would not have.
