Snake duty in Arizona

Once set the record for the standing broad jump while playing in Florida. Poking around the scrub palms just off the fairway and... <chkchkcchkchkchkchk> SPROING!  back to the middle of the fairway in one jump. "Free Drop! dangerous playing condition!".

 

Which is why I don't need or use the 5 (soon to be 3) minutes looking along swampy edges and other sketchy places.

How do you play a lie when there is a snake? Do you get to drop another ball far away with no penalty or are you just  sol? I do not  like snakes any way shape or form.

You pull out your captain hook and scare it away!   Most of the time if you are patient, they will move.   Now if it was a big bear...you move.    I do believe relief is allowed if said such monster wouldn't move.

Well it's official that the critters are out, and about in our location. While walking one of my dogs around noon today we encountered a desert tortoise, and 10" rattlesnake. Luckily I saw the snake before the dog, and was able to keep him from messing with it. We went our way, and the critters went their's.
