All it means is that she is good enough to shoot below par in a single round and 5 over after two. Some of the guys had lousy rounds and she finished ahead of them. To me, her score relative to par  and that she was able to do so much better on her second day is much more interesting.

The way I see it… you asked a question, I gave you an answer. Sports lend themselves to comparing. That's why they keep score. It's foolish to think that it's not a topic of discussion, how she fared relative to the opposite field men.

I was hoping she'd do well because I do enjoy watching the LPGA. So to me it's cool that she beat some expectations. But it's a small sample and would likely be different under other circumstances. Maybe she'd beat more of the men, maybe less.

With a regular PGA Tour field, probably less a lot more often than more.

I never said it shouldn't be discussed. Hell, I may have discussed it to some degree. There just seemed to be an over-emphasis on it which then led to a pissing contest about how she didn't technically beat the ones who quit - all of which seemed very foolish to me. Also, I wasn't questioning anything, just commenting. Doesn't really matter, I shouldn't have posted what I did.

No doubt.

I think you read too much into that.

What I thought was interesting was that she had an eagle on a par 5 in her second round. Holed out from 115. Pretty nifty! That and the three birdies in a row on her back nine.
