I have an issue I didn’t foresee. I recently got Rogue irons 5-P and Rogue 2H & 4H. All in stuff Shaft. The 5 is at 23’ and the 4H is at 21’ I’m hitting the hybrids a country mile and the irons as well. I’m in love with them. However, it seems my 4H can go about 210-215 while my five iron I can get out to about 190 or so. I was looking at a 5H Apex or Rogue and it’s the same loft as the five iron... I’m confident that would blow past the iron. So is it legit to get a hybrid with similar loft... knowing they’ll both hit very different distances (which is what I’m wanting)? Does that make sense and would the 5H be the right club to bridge this gap? Thanks.

Could work. Why not take your 5i and 4H to a golfshop with trackman. Hit some balls with them and the 5H. You will then know if it does bridge the gap. Not sure if stuff shafts are for sale at golfshops though...  😇

This sounds kind of dumb, but learn to hit the 5i to the right distance.

if the flight is too high you might me setting up too far forward or something?

Do you have a launch monitor like Mevo?

That can tell you a lot.

See if your hybrid hosels can be adjusted to increase loft.

Why not try gripping down, on the 4H, and see if you can produce a reliable 200 yard shot?  There is no reason longer clubs have to be played for maximum distance every time.

In der bag:

    • I've been putting whilst looking at the hole and it's definitely helped my distance control
    • I wonder if that is why my home course basically have no stakes now.  Not even markers.  It’s completely up to golfers to remember what is OB and hazard and how things used to be marked.     Even in tournaments, there is no marking and certain areas are played differently by different golfers who either don’t know better or use it to their advantage funny reading thru this with courses that actually have markers
    • is it though?????? "Millions of fans"?????
    • Great post, thanks for the informaiton. I try to avoid adding salt to anything I eat. I tend to add pepper on to my meals as opposed to salt. And I am trying to eat as clean on possible. On golf day, I eat 3 eggs for breakfast (pepper NO salt) and a salad for lunch, with grilled chicken thigs (pepper, garlic, no salt). I have been trying to avoid processed food, but we all slip. I also should have mentioned that the electrolyte packet calls for mixing with 16 oz of water, however I mix in 32 oz of water, so I dilute the electrolyte powder.
    • So if I read the news correctly, the PIF will not fund LIV after this season.  LIV is trying to find new funding and a number of players there are now asking about getting back to the Tour.    I am very, very concerned that Taylor Gooch will not have a place where he can make a jackass out of himself soon
