Tom Petty is more entertaining than the game. Maybe it's just because I get less and less interested in Pro Football each year. If a hockey game was on I'd be wtching it. For that matter both golf tournaments were more exciting than the Superbowl... just too bad Phil lost that playoff.

Commercials have been pretty weak thus far as well...

still 7-3 and my wife is falling asleep... I guess if the Pats pull it off the history makes it moderately interesting. But as a game... this one is a lttle slow.

OK... OK... the end was exciting. I was impressed with the Giants comeback... they deserve a lot of credit for doing what no other team has done this year.

They are one of the few teams who had two tries at it, though.

Anyway, I'm almost as happy with this result as I am when the Steelers won two years ago. Wooo!!!!! Screw Bill for leaving the field, too, btw.

WORLD CHAMPIONS!!! Sure is nice to hear the g-men call out the media for not giving them any credit. I have been waiting since 1991 to see this again. That was the hardest game I have ever watched, couldn't sit down when we were on offensive. Giants are the superbowl champions! WOW. Eli is the MVP! WOW. 18-1! WOW. Can't be happier.

As a Dolphins fan, I enjoyed the end result. I too agree that Bill lacks class. After the game, a commentator asked Bill what he'd say to his team. Bill's response ..."I'm disappointed." What a poor sport. A great coach would have said something like this... "regardless of the loss, I'll tell that that I'm proud of what they've accomplished this year" Oh, and did Bill congratulate the G-men? If so, I missed that.

He half-heartedly acknowledged they played well, which for him is congratulating them. He gets my vote for worst interview and worst hooded sweatshirt of the year.

Well this was one of those games you could have watched starting from the fourth quarter. The last few minutes were rocking.

I had no vested interest in the winner although it was cool to see Eli Manning win the game and thus preserve the record of the 72 Dolphins. How many families can say their boys won the superbowl in consecutive years? This is Archie's payback for playing with the Saints for all those years.

Jason Taylor was the Walter Payton recipient, but the Dolphins still make me cry...

All the Belichick comments are expected by Pats fans and by him I'm sure too. As with anything in life, when you have a certain reputation, you will almost never get the benefit of the doubt in that area.

He can be quirky to say the least. From another point of view, I thought he ran onto the field to see Coughlin because originally the clock went to triple zeros, game over, go shake hands. But then they put the time back on the clock. At this point, it's too late to get everyone to retreat, if he even knew they added time. I saw nothing classless from that perspective.

Congrats to Giants, they won it up front on the lines, end of story.

Everyone else seemed to get the message that there was still time left. I'm sure Bill knew as well.

everybody knew at all, and perhaps, but I guess there's no way for you or I to know what Belichick knew.

Very similar to 1991 when the Detroit Pistons walked off with time left on the clock and refused to shake hands with the Bulls. Winning does not always equate with class. There were a few Pistons that stayed back and shook hands. Dumars and Salley most notably. Go figure that they have gone on to have success as a GM and a TV personality. Class and sportsmanship can go a long way in peoples eyes.

The Pats are an awesome team. I would expect them to be right back in the running next year. Even with a win I don't think they were the best ever. Their record may have been, but I don't think they would have beaten some of the all time great teams. The Bears Super Bowl team was better as were some of those 49er teams and some of the Steeler teams to name a few. The 72 Dolphins only beat three teams with winning records that year. The thing is, the Pats really stopped dominating people a couple months ago. They could/should have lost to Philly and Baltimore. They whipped a couple bad teams late in Buffalo and Miami and struggled with the Jets. They had a good win over Pittsburgh in the middle. They were far from dominant against Jacksonville and San Diego. Still I expected them to win big. I'm glad they lost. I don't like Belicheck or Brady. Overall they seem like a group of bad guys.

No, it's safe to say we know that he knew. His team knew, and several people were quoted as saying they told him on the way out or heard others telling him on the way out that there was still time.

So there is a way for us to know - because enough others say so that it's 100% believable. And we know Bill didn't go suddenly and completely blind and deaf, because he walked out with no stumbling at all.
