Hi All

Just a quick hello from England, returned to Golf after a twenty plus year lay off, realised there is a massive gap between what I think I should play like to what I actually play like, currently hovering around 100 with wild fluctuations upwards.

Cheers

Welcome back and to the sand trap. It is amazing how little your clubs are worth as well 😀

The old interwebs say Leek is at 6 C at the moment. That translates to 42 F and that's about what we got here.

Thankfully the rain is going to piss off and we'll get a half decent weekend here in Ohio.

Welcome to TST.

    • I appreciate that you have taken the time to come back and update. Based on what was previously discussed I feel like the points were; forged, feel good, price, and possibly players distance. If you like the "looks" of those Maxfli irons and if price is a major point, then going straight to the source, Maltby, might make sense. Specifically, the TS3 iron. I was looking into this myself and found some reviews: Fit2YouGolf, Lets Play Thru, and ELITE FIT GOLF. As per your update I found the Maxfli to be ~$1300 fitted the way I wanted. Where the TS3 with the same fitting and assembled by Golfworks was less than $750. I suppose the downside is to actually hit the iron you will need to get lucky and find someone in your golf circle who will let you hit theirs or order a 6 or 7 iron to test. However, the way I look at that is being equivalent to some fittings. If you like the results and buy, then the fitting is free, otherwise the price of the fitting is a sunk cost. If name brand is important, then I submit for your consideration - THE BEST OVERALL IRON of 2024...... FACT !! 😉 A bit tongue in cheek that but also, I feel some good points were discussed.
    • Day 150 1-10 focus on arching the wrist and getting the ball to go left. Recorded, hit foam balls.
