TIL: Bump and Run Has an Official Entry in the OED

It was updated September 2018. So reading this lead me to look up chip shot. It's in there!

Not sure anyone uses the football definition very often. That is a ‘jam’ technique.

I wonder when ‘right in the lumberyard’ will make it in?😜

Being old school, and some what set in my own dinosaur ways, my "bump and runs" are still those fast low shots that hit the up slope of raised greens, and "bump" up on to the greens, and "run" towards the holes. 

I will call a chip a "skip and run" for the time being.....lol
