Any love out there for the 8802 style putters? I have been thinking about changing from my Bettinardi BB32 which is a face balanced mallet to toe balanced blade style putter. I really like the style and look of the 8802, but I do want something with a milled face. The Bettinardi studio stock 6 is a beautiful putter but I think I can only find that one used now. It's hard to find a used putter in that style where I live, I dont mind buying online but really want to roll one and get a feel for it. Any thoughts?

This is the style I'm after

It really depends on whether you can aim it as well as your current. I like the style and have played around with them a lot. But I know I aim my Anser style putter dead-on-balls accurate because I got fitted with it. The fitter adjusted the loft and lie so my aim was dead center.

Wilson's 8802 does have a milled face now.

I also love the look of them and hope to try one soon. CLASSIC!

I did see that the Wilson is milled, wont have one at my local shop for about a month though. I guess I'm not in a rush because the greens still have snow on them

So i might have a chance to pick up a 2014 select Newport 2, its at my local play it again. With my store credit it would cost me around $100, seems like a pretty good deal that i would hate to pass it up

Was out today and picked this up at my local goodwill, not sure of the make, on the bottom it says GC/1 and on the face what looks like the the bullseye from odyssey ? Can anyone help identify?

Remember when the old Acushnet "Bullseye" putter was the coolest? Try hitting a putt with one of those now! I still have one laying around in a closet somewhere!

I keep a Bullseye (with flange) in the study and putt with it every once in awhile.  I was deadly with it in college.  Now I wonder how that ever happened.

Did play it last year for the first time and it is awesome.

    • Day 47: simulator day! Played St. Andrew’s and shot a +1. Not bad, especially with having to putt at this simulator set up. Had about 5 minutes at the end to work on some feels as well.
    • I think you're saying it's preposterous to think that the areas on this club are anything like what's shown here: 30mm toward the toe or heel loses only 5% distance? Highly, highly doubtful. So a guy who hits the ball there and normally hits the ball about 250… will hit it instead about 238. By missing the sweet spot by about 1.2 inches? Highly, highly doubtful. Heck, the high heel barely gets into the red, and orange is only "up to" 10%! @M2R, I've never heard of "Ask Golf Nut" but I'm dubious of his claims in the video and really, really dubious of what's on his site: "Why AskGolfNut Is the Most Trusted Data-Driven Golf Resource". Hmmmmmm.
