  1. Right, because the pats were docked draft picks and owner and coach fined for nothing - keep drinking the kool-aid..........
  2. shopfortyone.com for some of the cheaper ones, plus the shipping is a lot less on that site - sizes are a bit limited, but a good way to start cheap
  3. They have to learn somewhere and it would definitely be better than a full length course the first time. Take him out to the range once and all should be good. Too much range time for newbies is overrated. I hit the range every day for 3 months before I played my first round and the range could do little to prepare me for that day.
  4. I am not even sure if I own a pair of jeans anymore - if I do, I havent worn them in over 10 years. i wear khakis to work and nothing but Loudmouth shorts/pants for golf - i'll even occasionally wear them to work just to get a rise out of my customers (on the road all day) Jeans are not allowed at my club, nor at most of the courses around here - but a newbie at the club will usually make the mistake once - no one will say anything about it, but the person will notice themselves that they shouldnt be and wont do it again. To say Loudmouth's arent nice looking is nothing more than your opinion. I dont think jeans are nice looking, but I am not going to hate on you for wearing them where they are allowed.
  5. First watch I have worn in years. Also a true phone when away from my phone.
  6. Another niece is sending Flat Stanley down for a visit - i really hope this one behaves better than the one her older sister sent years ago........
  7. One of the many reasons I replaced my Titleist cart bag. The other was the damage done to my grips and my clubs always getting stuck since only a few of the dividers went down all the way. I no longer play with a 33 inch putter, but a staff bag has been a lot kinder to my clubs.
  8. Pros: Straighter and longer than my previous ball, very nice for it's price Cons: Can not come up with any I was sent a box of Bridgestone e6 golf balls for the purpose of writing a review. As a background, these balls were recommended to me years ago and I really wanted to like them, but they did nothing but find water for me - something like 2 dozen balls in 3 rounds, so I had to move on. A year ago, I did the B-Fit online and the e6 was my recommended ball, with the 330RX being the 2nd choice - and since we were reviewing the 330 series at that point, that is what I went with. I fell in love with the 330RX and it had not left my bag since. I performed my tests over 4 rounds, alternating the e6 and 330 on each hole. Each ball saw even holes for 2 rounds and odd holes for the other 2. Taking out the garbage shots, the e6 performed much better for me off of the tee. About 5% longer distance wise and a lot less side spin. Basically my drives were longer because they were straighter. It was nice to be hitting my 2nd shots out of the short grass instead of off tree roots, dirt, holes and all the other garbage our rough has. With my hybrids, the measured difference was negligible, and with my irons, the e6 was a little bit longer. With my wedges, the difference in spin was also negligible for me at my skill level. The feel off of the putter was also pleasing to me. A few of the e6 balls saw multiple rounds and durability did not seem to be an issue. Even with a couple of rounds in cold (for me) weather, my scores have dropped a few strokes when playing with this ball. Bridgestone probably does not want to hear this, but the yellow e6 will be replacing the 330RX in my bag.
  9. Sebring seems to have a lot of cheap golf judging by the signs i see driving down 27 - havent played anything down there but assume it is pretty quiet later in the day as the average age down there seems pretty high. Depending on how far you are willing to travel, there are some decent courses in Lakeland or 2 in Okeechobee that are newbie friendly on one nine, with the other 9 just plain mean. (would not say the okeechobee ones are in great shape)
  10. Carry 2 sleeves of real balls and countless garbage ones (plenty of room in the old staff bag) There is very little in between, I often play with one ball and often end up using 4 - I am either on or off while playing.
  11. Unlike samsung, it does not look like they have a watch that is it's own phone line, which means they will get no help from the cell phone companies in selling the product. But it is apple, so millions will skip work to line up to buy it.
  12. I figure that anyone playing yellow is just trying to copy me. I play them to keep myself (and fellow competitors) from hitting the wrong ball.
  13. Tri-Sum original. Have only had them once in the last 10 plus years (someone sent me a case as a birthday gift) The one thing I miss about living up north was stocking up on them when visiting my family.
  14. Havent tried these particular shoes but I will say that I have gotten an average of 3 years out of each pair of Foot Joys I have owned (play year round) and less than a year on any Nike pair I have bought. That being said, I just picked up a pair of Nike spikeless and they are comfortable as hell, now to see how long they last.

    Popcorn Time?

The wife loves the popcorn site - it helper her catch up on some shows that netflix only had certain seasons of before watching the new episodes on tv. The drawback I see is that she hasnt figured out a way to chromecast it yet, which keeps me away since I must be able to play on my phone and computer while watching tv.
  16. I never liked Schilling, believe the *bloody sock* was nothing more than shenanigans and think he is possibly a worse announcer than joe theissmann. But, one hell of a job playing detective - those caught got what they deserved.
  17. Welcome to the forum @PGABobDailey . Do me a favor and slap Noah upside the head next time you see him!
  18. First impressions on the E6 were good today - lets see if it continues the next couple of rounds
  19. Nice ball, great value for price Pros: Good feel, a step up from most balls in this price range Cons: Close to a premium ball, but just misses I was sent a box of the Callaway Chrome Soft Balls for the purpose of writing this review. First impressions of this ball were great. My normal ball is the Bridgestone RX 330 and this one felt comparable for a few less dollars. Unfortunately during my test rounds, Florida weather was not what we consider normal. This ball did not see any play in temperatures above 60 degrees and was played mostly in temperatures of 35 to 50 degrees. Callaway claims that this ball will allow me to compress (deform) the ball like a tour player and I am obviously a bit out of that skill level, even with the chrome. Overall, this ball felt great in every step of the game - driver, hybrids, irons wedges and the putter. I tend to have a slight fade when hitting the driver correctly and a hook/draw with pretty much all of the rest of my clubs. This ball gave me the same flight I was accustomed to. I was really excited about my results with the ball until I compared the numbers with my usual ball. These tests were conducted over 3 separate days, with best and worst shots pulled, in addition to shots that hit trees or anything else that would affect results. The Chrome Soft was compared against my usual Bridgestone RX 330. First we will take into consideration that the Callway costs about 25% less than the RX 330. Distances off of the driver were about 5% greater for the Bridgestone. Hybrid distances were close with Bridgestone having an edge well within any margin of error. Iron distances were very similiar. Off of the putter both felt great and with the wedges, the Bridgetone had a little more spin than the Callaway in my tests. None of this is any kind of knock on the Callaway ball - just tried using real numbers to see where it all really stood. Overall, I really liked the Callaway Chrome Soft and look forward to testing it in a little warmer weather when I am dressed more like I am used to. This ball does have a chance at sneaking into my bag on a regular basis.
  20. Future reference - teetimesusa.com. A bit pricey, but a decent amount of real private courses are on there. I am a member of boxgroove - havent used it yet because it looks like I have to plan too far in advance and those surprise times I have to play are always last minute.
  21. Mine just arrived, never seen UPS show up at my house at 9:15 PM before.
  22. You are watching the wrong free videos, the ones with actual instruction start right away with instruction. The others are 30 something minute sales pitches. Check your spam box, because that is where all the instruction videos went for me.
  23. Am i missing it or does this contraption lack a drink holder?
  24. Seriously considering it. I have swapped out my 5 wood for 9 wood and back several times, but the result is the same - both sit in the bag. On the holes I do not tee off with my driver, a 3 or 4 hybrid is adequate as the tee shots need to be carefully placed. At this point, I may just replace the wood with a second, short putter for shots just off of the green or out of bunkers.
  25. Never seems to fail the last few years - our tourneys are always the 2nd Saturday of the month and during the winter it is always the coldest day of the month - teeing off in sub 40 degree weather tomorrow morning. Playing in the mid 50s today will partially prepare me for tomorrow.
