1. You can just download it manually from Microsoft. That's what I did. I will probably dual-boot it on my Mac at some point. I did use the Windows 10 Technical Preview and I definitely liked it better than Windows 8. You can read about how to download Windows 10 on Cnet so you don't have to wait for Microsoft to push the update to your computer. Here's the link: http://www.cnet.com/how-to/jump-the-line-and-get-windows-10-right-now/
2. Mine is other players not helping me watch my ball from the tee when I help them every time, especially if the sun is shining right at the tee box. And also not repairing divots but mainly ball marks on the green. It's not hard to do. People are just lazy and it annoys the heck out of me. I always try to leave a course in better shape than I found it.
3. To quote Tiger, "What the hell was that!?"
4. Sounds similar to my last round. Driver OB on a hole. Retee. Hit driver so low on the face almost blocked by a tree and sea grass from getting to the fairway. Next shot I don't know the distance so I am just trying to layup before the green. Pulled 6-iron and hit kind of a knock down shot and the contact was so pure. About 105 away from the hole now. Pull a gap wedge. Proceed to thin said gap wedge into the pond in front of me while a group trying to let me play through watched. It was a miserable hole that day.
5. Same here. If I have a cart and no one in front of me, I have no problem playing a round in under 4 hours. What they did sounds quite fun though.
6.
Correction: " I BLADED a PW 150yds uphill"
Haha you guys read my mind.
7. From 100 yards and in, if the green allows I mostly always try to attack the pin. My short game isn't what kills my score the most. It's my offline drives and everything else haha.
8. Also, some people play double par rules. I have played a few times with some buddies where we have done 11 being the highest you can get. After that, it's "shot limit exceeded" like in the Tiger Woods PGA Tour games.
9. I think this is causing me problems at the moment as I have graphite shafts. My clubs just don't feel as heavy as maybe they should.
10. Are you bending too much in your knees or putting too much bend in your waist/hips? It sounds like that could be an issue that causes your "arm crunch". Also, being a T-Rex would kind of suck. You can't make a bed, you can't play golf, etc. Lol.
11. This. That's awesome! I want to check out Nona Blue some day. He seems like a really nice guy.
12. I would most likely go with the high lob shot.
13. 150yds is a stock 9 iron shot for me. I once hit one great that went 175-180 yards carry with no roll (winter conditions and no wind either). No idea how or why it went that far as I hit it great but have never it that far before. I had to double check on google maps that the marker was 150yds since I completely flew the green, and sure enough it was.
14. I entered. I hope I win! I could really use some new equipment!
15. This is a good post. Feel and mechanics really go hand in hand. I consider myself a feel player, but I have considerable knowledge relating to the physics and mechanics of the golf swing. Therefore, I can analyze my swing (videos) and get into ideal positions since I understand what they are, and then that's where feel kicks in and I feel what it's like to be in that position and swing a certain way. As for my short game with a wedge, that's probably where I am the least mechanical. I experiment to try and hit different shots producing different results that sometimes leave my friends and even myself wondering, "How did he/I do that?". I have videoed some things I have done with a wedge, and the swing and/or grip aren't close to what you'd call mechanical. I love using my 60* wedge and pretty much use it for everything 90 yards and in. One day I was hitting low, knee high, punch-type shots, when practicing chipping, with a lot of spin that would stop pretty quickly. I wasn't trying to do it; my swing that day just produced it. I haven't been able to do it since then. :(
16. I agree. I went to Dick's Sporting Goods the other day but they didn't have them. They just had the Mizuno JPX EZ irons . I don't think they really carry Mizuno clubs like they do other brands.
17. It's 3 for me now. Just added a brand new Titleist Vokey SM4 54* wedge to go with my 60* wedge and PW.
18. Currently I'm averaging ~110mph with a driver. I'm thinking getting my club on a better swing plane (mainly on my downswing) will improve it, but I'm not complaining about that speed. The PGA Tour average is ~112mph with a driver.
19. Love this quote.
"While playing golf today I hit two good balls. I stepped on a rake." - Henny Youngman “If you drink, don’t drive. Don’t even putt.” – Dean Martin "Golf is the most fun you can have without taking your clothes off." - Chi Chi Rodriguez "Golf is a good walk spoiled." - Mark Twain “The only sure rule in golf is: He who has the fastest cart never has to play the bad lie.” – Mickey Mantle “It took me seventeen years to get three thousand hits in baseball. It took one afternoon on the golf course.” – Hank Aaron “Give me golf clubs, fresh air and a beautiful partner, and you can keep the clubs and the fresh air.” – Jack Benny “I go swimming twice a day. It beats buying golf balls.” - Bob Hope "Golf and sex are about the only things you can enjoy without being good at." - Jimmy Demaret
Some good ones here. I'd never heard Dean Martin's before.
"Golf is a game whose aim is to hit a very small ball into an even smaller hole, with weapons singularly ill-designed for the purpose." - Winston Churchill
Also another one of my favorites.
20. A lack of time, money, or maybe they feel they can sort out the issue themselves. Sometimes you can, and sometimes you can't. I got to that point a little while ago and knew I was close, but I just wasn't getting the job done on my own, so I got a lesson. It helped and continues to help me a lot at the moment.
21. Shot a 94 my last round. It was terrible! Next to nothing went right. Next time, I hope the only shooting I do is to myself in the foot if I make a poor course management decision. Lol.
22. I use my 60* wedge in the sand and all around the green. Then again, it is my only wedge other than my PW, so I really have very little choice. But, because of that, I have gotten quite good with that club.
23. Recently, I've basically been hitting whatever I pull out of my bag (as long as it doesn't feel like a rock), which has a mix of balls in it. Although, I prefer to play Pro V1s and Pro V1Xs, but only when I'm confident I won't lose it to a shot out of bounds.
24. Be careful what you wish for. All the ladies that show up at the range I go to are always constantly laughing and talking loudly, as if they don't care or notice that people are actually trying to practice seriously and aren't there to just socialize. It gets irritating. Noise isn't something that throws me off too much as long as it's constant and not too loud. But come on, have a little common courtesy.
25. I'm on the East Coast, but snow? What in the hell is that?
