What’s wrong with Phil? He’s 49 going on 50. Father Time is a real thing. It’s why only a couple players have won a major past their 45th birthday. In fact has anyone ever won it past their 46th?

Bryson’s apparently getting very angry at people labeling him. We’re seeing the a-hole side of him coming out. Koepka said it best. While the other guy is getting ready to hit, the other guy should also be getting ready. Too many guys sit and do nothing while the other guy is hitting and then when it’s their turn, they start prepping.

Not sure who is the bigger d-bag after this week, BDC or Grillo.

The last two weeks have summed up his season. Two good rounds...and then a bad one.
-
It doesn’t matter to me either way how they do it, I just think the last event is about the Fed Ex champ, not the Tour champ. I get what they’re trying to do and so we’ll see how it plays out. I’m willing to give it a 1-year trial. I still would like to see them do a prize for lowest score of the week to give those in 30th place something to play for. edit: Wow, did anyone see Grillo give the middle finger at the ball when he missed? What a jerk. That’s something Sergio would do. Lost all respect for him.

I think he’s going to just pack it in for the year.
-
It’s as if 2015 Tiger has returned.
-
I think he’ll cut the WGC Match Play and I don’t see him playing three Fed Ex playoff events, which who knows how his qualification position will be moving forward if he doesn’t play a lot. Bay Hill is a more likely no every year than a yes. It’s getting closer to just majors, The Players and just a couple other events.

Seems to be happening a lot lately. I feel he put everything into that Masters win and since then he’s struggled to get himself physically well. I think his schedule next year will prolly be even more reduced.

He probably means career GS.

Yesterday was a mess, but outside of that, he hasn’t been awful. He just seems to have that one bad round that kills him every tournament. He hung around at the British and then Sunday came. Was in good shape at the Wyndham, and then Saturday came. He just can’t put four rounds together.
-
I thought if you win the PGA Chmpionship it gives you status until you’re 50, but guess not. Sucks for Kaymer. Not sure what the heck has happened to Mayan. He’s just completely lost his game. Good riddance, though. Not a fan of his. Heard he’s a bit of a jerk.

The Presidents Cup is not until December this year. He has plenty of time for rest.
-
He’s definitely different. He does seem bland, but not as bland as DJ. He will show his emotion from time to time and showcase personality in interviews, but not like Tiger. He can be a bit arrogant, but that’s a welcome change. He says what’s on his mind. He’s not afraid to call others out. He doesn’t care about saying “the right thing to appease others.” I do think he can be almost-Tiger dominant if he had the drive to do so, but his only drive is with winning majors, which he’s good at.
-
Not gonna lie...I kinda miss the PGA in August. I get why they made the change but everything seemed so crammed this year. Feels weird the major season being over already. I like that they’re moving the St Jude between the US Open and Open next year but know that’s only to satisfy the Olympics.
-
I’m actually surprised more players don’t do this. I always found to play better with just a short warm up and played worse when I warmed up 90 minutes or two hours prior to a round, especially where I live where it’s 90+ degrees every day in the summer. It’s good strategy to not wear yourself out too early in the heat.
-
And his PGA trophy case is still as big as mine.
-
If Koepka wins the St. Jude, you can all but give him the Player of the Year title again. One major, a WGC, and a top-4 finish in every major. Unless Woodland or Woods went on to win the Tour Championship, winning a couple of the playoff events, it should be all but wrapped up.
-
He must still have the practice in him from last week. He’s only one back of Rory. Great tourney.
-
Not if he doesn’t put any reps in. Barely practiced for PGA or British. Put in some practice for US Open and played solid there..just couldn’t make a putt to save his life. I think he has a good chance at winning British if he preps for it better.

Ian Poulter Has Fan Ejected for Yelling "Get in the Bunker!"
ChrisP replied to CarlSpackler's topic in Tour Talk
One idiot yelling at another idiot. And then the idiot ejecting the idiot. They should meet up for a beer. They have lots in common. -
We will be living in an alternate universe in 2020.

He’s 39. The same age as Justin Rose and Adam Scott. Doesn’t seem to be affecting them. He shouldn’t be of that mindset his best days are behind him. When you hit your 40s, then you can start to think that. I’m not saying it’s marital issues, just saying I wouldn’t be surprised if it was.
-
Gotcha. Sounds like a Nascar event. It’s worth a shot and see how it plays out. I do hate that the Tour champion and Fed Ex champ are always different. It’s like two different celebrations. And they can’t just make the last event a winner take all (with everyone starting at Even) because that destroys the purpose of playing in the previous events. So I get what there trying to do. I’ll wait and see.

I don’t know what his personal life is like. Usually has something to do with it. Maybe his marriage is on the rocks. I remember when Novak Djokovic was going through a slump and rough time a couple years ago, it came out he was having marital problems.
