Golf shoes?

I was just wondering how often you guys go through a pair of golf shoes. I just wore mine out they are all torn and coming apart at the seams in just under a year. I just bought a pair of addidas , and just wanted to know how long a quality brand of show would last?

In my bag:
Driver: Big Bertha Diablo 10* N

Depends on the quality of the shoe, how you care for them, and how often you play. I buy mid level Foot Joys. Usually "Dry Joy" but just yesterday got some "Contours". I will buy two pair at a time (one black, one brown). My size is hard to find (15) so I get two at a time. I get about 3-4 years out of my shoes playing on average once a week (using cart). I do clean them often and brush the bottoms after most every round. Change spikes when they wear to about 70%. Put a little leather conditioner on them a time or two a year. Keep the dirt wiped off with a wet wash cloth once a month. Simple stuff like that.

Unless you play in them every day, they should last longer than a year. I am a bad example since I don't play too much, but mine usually last 5+ years. I always have at least 3 different pairs so I can switch them and not wear the same pair too often. I always keep cedar shoe trees in them to keep the shape and absorb the moisture.

Golf shoes should last a couple of years at least. Get the 'good' ones and you will be much happier.

I will judge my rounds much more by the quality of my best shots than the acceptability of my worse ones.

I get a good 200 rounds out of a pair. Call it 3 years or so of year-round play.

I too have several pair and get 5+ years out of a pair. If I play one day in wet conditions I will play with a different pair the next day. Letting them dry out seems to make them last longer.

yeah you've got to go with the rotation and have multiple pairs to ensure that they dry out. I am somewhat neurotic with my shoes however (an avid sneaker collector as well), so I clean my spikes after every round, wipe them down, etc. I even go so far as stuffing them with paper and/or old terry cloths so that they will keep their shape and form

My current golf shoes are from 1996. From 1996-2002 I played nearly every possible day in Michigan. I walk too. From fall 2002 to fall 08 I played maybe 3 times per year. I just started a league, so I will be playing once a week. Got some new spikes and I am good to go!

I've had my Callaway's for a couple years now...like the others suggest, keep them clean and change out the spikes when needed, then they should last you awhile.

If your adidas falls apart within a year, no matter how much you play, you should call them and get a replacement. I have 4 different pairs of Adidas that I rotate through. I don't really know how long they last because I always tend to get new ones before the old ones go bad.

Good responses. I have a pair of Adidas golf shoes. Got them in late August of last year. I play a minimum of 2 times a week and walk at least one time. I don't treat them very well and never clean them. I wear them in the rain then place them back in the hot trunk of my car. Last weekend I noticed that they kind of make a weird noise and are very stiff. Have I reached the point of no return with them or can they be salvaged?

My Hitech CDT last for 3 and a half years . The leather starts to harden up and crack near the sole . I paid like $100 for it and it comes with 2 year water proof warranty. My current one is also a CDT , fit it from special price at $60 per pair . I think Hitech make really good shoes. I had bad experience with Nike and it only last for 12 months .

I've been wearing the same pair since before they were released in stores last year, and they're still in great shape. You obviously can't replace the spikes, because there aren't any, so I try to stay off the pavement whenever possible to prevent wear. They look good and are super comfortable. Highly recommended.

I highly recommend the Adidas Tour 360 shoes for anyone.  They're comfortable, waterproof, and perform well.  The key to golf shoes is just finding something that is comfortable and durable.  At first I just loved the look of the Adidas Tour 360s, but was put off by the price.  I was able to find some on eBay for at least $100 off of listed price.  Definitely got what I paid for, and more.

I generally replace min once a year my personal favorite are Nike's and Footjoys. But recently I went out on a limb and bought the Ecco New classics and I must say me feet haven't been happier. I hope I don't have to replace them anytime soon.

About 2-3 times per year. I walk a lot. I find Adidas and Nike most comfortable. Nike doesn't last long, especially the cheaper models. Wearing some Ecco shoes now. I replace spikes about 4 times average before I throw shoes away. I also tend to walk a little on the side of the shoe which shortens their life.

      Yea Club Rat said it. I really enjoyed the Senator and the Judge, then over to Grand National where there a couple good courses plus a fun par 3. The one I do play whenever I visit there is Ross Bridge; something about this course that is just good fun.       Day 56: 4/19/2024 Okay, even though I'll be teeing it up in a tournament in less than a week. I couldn't find time to get to the range today.  I spent time on the indoor putting mat.  And I spent time in front of the mirror with my 7 iron. Then again later with the driver.  I also thoroughly cleaned all my clubs.
