I present the current stock headcover of the Studio Select putters:

Not a pretty sight. Very likely they do this to make even more money, but there's nothing to do about this.

So, does anyone have suggestions to where I can get a headcover which looks better, preferably at a reasonable price. I know there are a lot of expensive headcovers out there for Scotty's, but there are bound to be some that don't cost over $100.

Found a couple here, but few at a low price: http://www.fairwaygolfusa.com/

Thanks.

You gotta love how a headcover costs as much as what I paid for my Bettinardi Black Carbon, new, with headcover. I will never get the whole "Scotty" thing. Never.

That's good for you, but not the point of this thread. I'd apprechiate it if we could keep the discussion to the topic, the rest you can discuss somewhere else.

A quote from Kris
...is that college bball really isn't "lower tier". The better teams have their rosters filled with guys who could play in the NBA. hell, guys used to come straight from high school to the NBA. I really don't think there's much of a difference skill-wise between the two.

and bought this one:

It's for a Circa 62, but it doesn't say that anywhere on the headcover and it fits my Newport just fine.

I often ask for "lost" Scotty headcovers at golf courses and driving ranges. Over the years I have found many "lost" ones. Never in good shape but the price is right.

In my bag:

Taylormade V Steel 3 and 5 wood

Bridgestone J33 R Hybrid 21* NV Shaft

Good idea. I also check the used cover bin at any golf store, just to try and get lucky. I also wish he made more mallet putter head covers, oh well... the Red X5 isn't too bad looking.

I hope this wasnt a serious post... However I think it was. That's pretty shameful... I am guessing if you found one on the 18th tee you wouldnt turn it in either.

I hope you arent ever in the foursome behind me.

I originally had the silver one - left it off the green and asked the group behind me if they saw it.

Of course they said they didnt even though I saw it sitting in one of the guys carts.

I paid $35 for a replacement at scottycameron.com and got another one when my wife signed me up for club cameron for my birthday.

    • Day 134 (26 Apr 24) - played Minnesott today, worked with the mid-irons and approaches (especially the 7i).  Scoring was a little higher, but I was focused on making the needed adjustments to the swing to achieve desired distances.
    • I honestly believe if they play longer tees by 300-400 yards, closer to or over 7,000 yards, more rough, tougher greens, women's golf will become much more gripping.  BTW, if it weren't for Scottie killing it right now, men's golf isn't exactly compelling.
    • Day 542, April 26, 2024 A lesson no-show, no-called (he had the wrong time even though the last text was confirming the time… 😛), so I used 45 minutes or so of that time to get some good work in.
    • Yeah, that. It stands out… because it's so rare. And interest in Caitlin Clark will likely result in a very small bump to the WNBA or something… and then it will go back down to very low viewership numbers. Like it's always had. A small portion, yep. It doesn't help that she lost, either. Girls often don't even want to watch women playing sports. My daughter golfs… I watch more LPGA Tour golf than she does, and it's not even close. I watch more LPGA Tour golf than PGA Tour golf, even. She watches very little of either. It's just the way it is. Yes, it's a bit of a vicious cycle, but… how do you break it? If you invest a ton of money into broadcasting an LPGA Tour event, the same coverage you'd spend on a men's event… you'll lose a ton of money. It'd take decades to build up the interest. Even with interest in the PGA Tour declining.
